NORTH BERKELEY! 2 blocks from "gourmet zone", short walk ( 1/2 mile) to UC Berkeley Campus. There is a $150.00 cleaning fee. Please check reviews and details! Booked from now to August 1 2027.. **PLEASE READ OUR REVIEWS AND LISTING THOROUGHLY** Well appointed, roomy in-law with beds for 4 ( families of 5 have also stayed here several times with small children) , this apartment is located a half mile north of UC Berkeley Campus in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood. It's a two bedroom fully furnished in-law in a gorgeous Craftsman home in the heart of North Berkeley. Quick, safe ( 10 minute) walk to campus through residential neighborhood & shopping districts (home to Chez Panisse, Cheeseboard, and a lot of other great spots). The home is a gorgeous 1908 craftsman home that has been seismically retrofitted. Safeway and all shopping within walking distance. Utilities included : trash pickup , wifi Utilities not included: water bill is shared with upstairs home and paid bi-monthly. Electric bill is set up by tenant with PG&E and paid monthly. Washer/Dryer in the unit (does not share with home upstairs), and all new appliances.. Queen bed in one room, Bunk Beds in another. Writing desks in both bedrooms. Television with Roku ( netflix, hulu, etc) provided. Wi-Fi provided via wireless or can set up own wifi through a local provider if desired. Features a cozy enclosed back patio. Ample closet space. Numerous parks, restaurants, grocery stores, and cafes all within walking distance. The home above is occupied by a family of four (kids are our son Leo ( 21 ( away at college) and Charlotte ( 10). Main bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower and sink, and bathroom is split ( toilet and extra sink in their own bath room) . Parking is very safe and there is on-street parking, both permitted and non-permitted are available ( permitted parking requires the car be registered in CA, but 2-3 block away is plenty of non-permitted and safe parking). By CA law the in-law and yard is Non-Smoking. The neighborhood is safe and bustling, mildly upscale but populated with lots of active people and has a friendly feel to it. Being able to walk from our house and get to all the best spots from Peets Coffee to the Cheeseboard is wonderful, not to mention two amazing parks, tennis courts, grocery stores, and more. Walking distance from great Thai, Pizza, Burgers, Crepes, Italian, Sushi, Japanese, Himalayan, and more .. We have a kid friendly yard and are open tenants to sharing our yard and outdoor space at times, however we also provide a totally private outdoor space for tenants and ask them to kindly respect our need for privacy or for our kids to use their space as needed. Tenant must set up their own PG&E for gas and electric, or pay through owner if necessary. Usually tenants need some proof of residency for various reasons ( school, car, etc) and PG&E is the best way to establish that. Water bill is paid directly to owner bi-monthly. We ask the apartment be returned in the condition given more or less, and have a $150.00 cleaning fee. Deposit & Terms: we provide a standard CA lease and addendums for all short term rentals. Security Deposit of $1000.00 and first months rent due upon rental agreement to hold apartment for all leases. IMPORTANT : Two written references required from tenant (employer / colleague / former landlord). We do check references for all tenants via email or phone. Local references also encouraged.
