This is the ideal residence for your time in Heidelberg. I lived here myself for six years and absolutely loved this charming little gem of a place. There are hardwood floors throughout this 95 QM raised ground floor apartment. Each room has 12 foot ceilings. The built-in kitchen has extra high shelving with plenty of storage and all appliances, to include a dishwasher, new washing machine/dryer, refrigerator and microwave. There is also a small counter with stools for quick meals. The primary bedroom is furnished with a Balinese king size sleigh bed and antique wooden “schrank.” This bedroom leads to a small balcony and a good sized garden in the courtyard area. The small guest room has a twin sized trundle bed with an additional twin bed underneath for guests as well as another antique shrank for clothing. There also is a heat-efficient wood burning fireplace “oven” in the living room that is ideal for cool winter nights! The living/dining rooms are equipped with a couch, table for 6, coffee table, end tables, extra chairs, television, and phone. Internet and phone are already connected and ready for your use. An entire wall of built in closets in the living room will provide storage space for extra belongings. The bathroom has a large “jelly bean” shaped tub with shower. There are just 3 other families in this apartment building. This apartment is ideal for a couple or a small family to live in a furnished apartment for 6 months or more. The families who have rented this apartment in the past have been quite satisfied-the last family stayed for several years, which is why I don't have "points" yet for any matches. Previous renters have especially loved the ease of walking to the down-town Hauptstrasse, the nearby playgrounds, and the enclosed back yard garden. The location is perfect for anyone who loves quick and easy access to gorgeous Heidelberg, but wants a quieter apartment without the noise of living directly on the Hauptstrasse.
