Beautiful space in Kensington. I'm senior (sigh) faculty in the Dept of Medicine, and I often boast that this is the best address in the city, in the heart of Kensington. I've lived here 22 years. Your apartment is on ground and 2nd floor, looks out onto Augusta and Baldwin, is very private, no one above you or beside you. Within 50 meters, there are sustainable fish stores, butcher, bakers, spices, Michelin restaurants, rock clubs, dentists, doctors. The Toronto Western hospital is 400 metres away, U of T, about a ten minute walk. The building is new, built in 2003, has a new roof and your own central a/c in 2023, new furnace 2025. Bedroom has a king bed, is set back from the street, no one above or beside you, has a skylight (currently blacked out for shift working MD's like me). It has offered me true respite in Canada's best neighbourhood. The front room is very bright, but has a wraparound curtain for sound control/recording/zoom meetings. Sonos speaker, new flatscreen TV, a kitchen furnished with utensils and spices. I prefer to rent to one person or a couple, and only do long stays. Only 3 other units in the building (including mine). Everyone is quite close and takes care of each other and the building. Coin laundry on site. Internet included, but I ask for tenant to pay hydro (or a portion) for energy accountability. Bill is minimal except in hottest months. If that's a stretch, can be negotiated. Can provide references of other academics (and a Tibetan Lama!) who have stayed here in the past. Please click on video link for close-up. Academics preferred.
