We stayed at Julie’s home for almost three months, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Julie is extremely friendly, caring, and welcoming, and she made us feel comfortable from day one. We especially appreciated her open and respectful attitude toward non-Americans; we never once felt like outsiders. Over time, she became much more than a host, she became a dear friend for life. Now that we are back in India, we look back on our stay with warmth and gratitude and sincerely wish Julie all the very best.

Throughout my tenancy, the property remained in pristine condition, which I think speaks to both the quality of the home and Julie's commitment to proper maintenance. When I moved out, the house was still in the same perfect condition as when I arrived. Julie is an exceptional landlady who truly cares about her tenants. She's incredibly responsive to text messages and quick to address any concerns or maintenance needs. Her willingness to help whenever possible made living there stress-free. You can count on her to be there when you need support. As for the rent, I think it is more than fair considering the house amenities, the responsiveness of Julie, and the desirable location. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Located in a picturesque New England town with lots of opportunities - charming downtown, walking and bike trails, live music and event venue, and lots of American history. My recent stay with Julie was an absolute delight!

The two-bedroom space we stayed in was beautifully appointed and well-maintained. Julie took great pride in ensuring every detail was perfect for the tenants.

The common areas of the house were equally inviting. The living room offered a comfortable spot to relax, and the fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals when we wanted to dine in. The house was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

Julie was genuinely friendly and helpful, well-organized, making it easy to navigate and find anything in the house, and happy to answer any questions. There is no doubt she cared deeply about everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

I have just returned from a delightful stay at Julie's home in Lexington, MA. She was able to accomodate me in a gap she had over the Christmas holidays through late January. Her very large home has lots of separate spaces to relax; a formal living/dining room, a grand open plan kitchen overlooking the family room with cozy seating, plus outdoor terraces.

Lexington, MA has a historical Minuteman bike/walking trail which is minutes away. There is a Lexpress bus which has three routes to shopping malls and nearby towns. (The bus is free to senior citizens from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.)

I stayed with Julie for 3 months during my research internship at MGH and enjoyed every second of it! Lexington is beautiful and much more calm than the busy city. The calmness comes with a slight disadvantage of having a longer commute to work with a sadly not-too-reliable bus you depend on, but Lexington itself and Julie's home are quiet and peaceful places! Especially if you do not depend on public transport, this is a wonderful place to stay! Julie will make sure you feel comfortable and are well taken care of during your stay.

I had a lovely stay in Julie's house while I was a visiting PhD student at MIT for two months in summer/fall 2022. The place is right off the Minuteman bike pathway, which makes commuting to Cambridge easy even without a car (as you can cycle about 5-6 miles to get to Alewife on the red line T). I did not experience any trouble at all (in terms of cleanliness, communication, etc.) while there. The house is lovely, with a spacious yard and lots of common spaces. There were a few other visiting students / scholars while I was there, and Julie was incredibly kind in organising dinners, trips to the beach, etc. which brought us together. I had a delightful time and highly recommend staying with Julie!

Julie and her house were the best 2 things during my stay in the US between Aug-Sep 2019. The rent was reasonable and the house was fully equipped. Very close to Minuteman Bike Trail for a beautiful biking. She is very careful with the selection of the tenants, you should not worry about the other tenants, everybody was very friendly. The room was very comfortable. If you look for a place in Lexington, I recommend you should not hesitate to prefer this house. Julie helped me a lot with solving the problems not only at the house, but everything. If you prefer to rent a room in this house, I can guarantee you will love it!

I had a great stay at Julie's house. She managed a beautiful house to host international academics and professionals. She was kind, open and friendly. My conversations with her were always pleasant and her sensible management of shared living gave me the feel of home at her place. Knowing Julie certainly adds valuable memories to my academic visit to Boston. I highly recommend staying at Julie's place!

We had a pleasant stay from August 2018 to August 2019 at Julie’s place with my wife and twin daughters (fifteen years old at that time). The best thing about the house was to meet wonderful people with whom we shared the house. People were very nice and friendly. Our choice of Lexington was motivated by our daughters’ education. Lexington has a very good and challenging high school. Julie’s house is less than ten minutes to the school by car. It is also possible to bike, when the weather is good, in about 15 minutes. It is very convenient that you do not need to bring sheets and other household items. Life has been made easy thanks to Julie as she shared a number of items, from bikes to sleeping beds, with us. That is quite valuable considering that there have been many things that we had to use only once.

We, my two daughters, 6 and 11 years old, my wife and I, had the pleasure to stay in Julies house for three and a half months. We rented the suite in the 1st floor. The furniture has seen some decades already. However, the rooms we tidy and spacious, absolutely sufficient for the period of the stay. We arrived at the beginning of spring. So we could enjoy the terrace, where could have our own breakfast and enjoy the bunnies and chipmunks in the garden. The shared rooms, such as the kitchen and living room were very well equipped with all we needed for daily life and school life for kids. The kids also enjoyed the basement, where lots of toys and a playground was waiting for them. We used the bikes also, because the minuteman bikeway is close nearby, helping us easily to commute to Alewife station or just to Lexington, Arlington or Burlington Mall. We quickly adapted to the house rules. We found them very suitable and necessary, as we share one beautiful spot in Lexington, which should be sustained for many more of those nice experiences as we had them. Julie is a very open minded, smart, positive, communicative and open host. She was always around in case we needed anything. She was very much taking care that all facilities in the house were in operating condition or organized quick repairs in case necessary. We shared plenty of time together in the living room, up to the point we gave names to the fish:) We definitely can recommend without any reservations.

I lived here with my wife and 2 sons (2 and 5 years old) from October 2015 until August 2017. We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Its a very spacious house and we stayed in the ground floor suite. Our private space consisted of a large bedroom , the kids bedroom (with bunk beds), and a bathroom with bathtub. The large bedroom also has a desk and a sofa so can also double as a workspace or private living room. Both these rooms have large windows with views of the garden and large sliding doors to the garden. The shared spaces in the house include the large kitchen (renovated August 2017) and living room spaces (2 living rooms). There is also a huge basement which is a great space for kids to play. Our family really loved the huge garden. It is a great and safe place for kids to play. There are large rocks (great for dinosaur island play) and woody spaces (great for hut making) for the kids to play. There is a small vegetable garden to use as well. We grew tomatoes, beans, herbs, and pumpkins. There is access to water in the garden as well which is great for water play with the kids. The bedroom doors open to the garden where there are patios to sit outside. There is also a gas bbq installed outside to use. The neighborhood is really nice, friendly neighbors, and kids in the area. There are many green spaces and opportunities for walks. The house is really close to the Minuteman bike way and the great Meadows and a short walk/cycle from playgrounds and Wilson’s farm. The house is a 5 minute walk away from buses to Alewife and MIT is ~50 minutes away by public transport. However I tended to cycle via the Minuteman (~20 min to Alewife). Julie is a very friendly and helpful person, and always goes the extra bit to make things as smooth as possible for her tenants. We've enjoyed great conversations with Julie, nice summer BBQs in the garden, and have met and enjoyed the company of some of her friends when they have visited. Our children also have built a great relationship with Julie.

My family (with two kids at age of 8 and 4) have rented the private suite at Julie's house since July 2013 during my sabbatical leave. I should say that this has been the best experience we have in Boston. Julie is a very reasonable and considerate landlord in all the respects. Before we arrived the house, she reorganized the basement and built a nice play area with a lot of toys for my kids. (they are having a lot of happy hours down in the basement). She also moved furniture around to set up a bunk bed in the second room. All we need to pack are our clothes. Everything else we can find in the house. It is very convenient for us. The house is very big and organized. Even though it is shared with two other tenants, we never feel it is crowded. In the kitchen, you can find all the kitchen accessories that you can think of. You can cook any food you like - as long as you clean it up afterwards. Julie is very open to this. The two bedrooms are specious, along with the bathroom, you have your own privacy. There are two patios, each connected with one room, where you can access to the beautiful backyard easily. The hot tub is a best treatment if you need some relaxation after a busy long day. Julie also has a Yamaha piano in the living room that my daughter plays almost everyday. The house is in a convenient location. 5 minutes to Lexington center, 10 minutes to Alwife station, supermarkets such as H-Mart, Market Basket, Wholefood, Trader Joes, and Burlington Mall; one block to the Minuteman Bikeway. The rent is very reasonable considering all the utilities are included. We will miss Julie and this house a lot when we leave by the end of December.

My family of four people spent in this house 4 months. There were two other tenants with whom we shared the house. And the house never was crowded (neither in physical nor psychological sense). It is big enough to find cosy and quiet place to work or to have a rest. Or to watch TV. Or to do some exercises in mini-gym. Or to play frisbee in yard. We adored beautiful kitchen, two roomy living rooms, and of course our two bedrooms (both with nice view outside). And our kids (teenagers) preferred basement where they spent most of the time after school in wintertime. Basement is well furnished and heated so it was good extra space for all of us. Hot tub is something that I will miss very much. This is exceptional pleasure to have a hot tub after busy day in big porch with big window to rainy yard. The most helpful person in the house was landlady. She helped us on plenty of occasions. Perfect bikeway behind the house is just additional advantage. I use it everyday to get to Harvard (although there are convenient bus routes and T). This house and its owner are among best things that happened to us in this trip.
