Our sunny home is ideal for visiting academic/medical fellow with children or adults who seek plenty of space to spread out at home. The house has high ceilings, lots of light, and a private back deck, fenced-in yard and forest behind it. I am an anthropologist at Carnegie Mellon University and I also work with a global nonprofit. My husband and I came to Pittsburgh for grad school, met in our anthropology doctoral program, and stayed in Pittsburgh to raise our family. We purchased the home in 2021 and have taken great care of it, and we are seeking responsible tenants to enjoy our space. It's great for a family or a couple of people who like to have separate office spaces. The main floor offers a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a sunny foyer. A west-facing back deck is a great spot for morning coffee, evening meals at sunset, and friendly gatherings. I have spent many hours writing on the back deck as the wind blows through the trees! On the second floor you will find a large bathroom, two bedrooms, one with an ensuite full bath and the other with ample room for a desk and bookshelves. The second story also offers a bonus room great for an office space or reading nook. Two large rooms on the third floor are currently used as a bedroom and office. Each room has a very large storage closet. A short drive from local universities, hospitals, shopping, and downtown, and short walk to a city park with playground, public pool, and ball fields. Public transportation is available to universities and downtown, with bus stops down the street. We welcome inquiries and are happy to negotiate length of stay and rent, though we prefer a lease term of 12–24 months. Credit, employment, and reference check required.
