Overview Welcome to my home. This is a private, self-contained, 95-square-metre apartment occupying the upper floor (and parts of the lower floor) of a traditional Georgian townhouse. It is a colourful, quirky, and deeply creative space with high ceilings, massive sash windows, and excellent natural light. It has been thoughtfully designed as a peaceful, private sanctuary for researchers, writers, and creative professionals who need a quiet space to think, work, and rest. To ensure your stay is effortless, the monthly rent is fully inclusive of all utility bills, council tax, ultra-fast wireless internet, and a mandatory weekly cleaning service with a full linen and bedding change. The Living Space & Workspace The lounge is large with a desk area, printer and dining table. The huge windows bring in a lot of natural light so it is an ideal environment for reading, thinking, or unwinding. The Fireplace: A real, working log fire sits at the heart of the lounge, perfect for cozy evenings. Wood and smokeless coal is provided, I ask for an honesty donation for these. The Tech: The flat is intentionally peaceful and TV-free in its layout to protect the quiet energy of the home. However, there is a television kept on a rolling stand. You can easily pull it out whenever you want a movie night or need to stream, and tuck it completely away out of sight when you need to focus. Ultra-fast, reliable WiFi. Kitchen & Dining A fully equipped, independent kitchen with everything you need for proper home cooking during a long-term stay. It includes all standard appliances, cookware, utensils, and crockery. Oils, tea, coffee etc. Bedroom & Bathroom (The Recovery Space) The Bedroom: A quiet, neutrally decorated sanctuary featuring a comfortable king-size bed. The room is dark and quiet with luxurious cream wool carpets, wardrobe and storage space for your clothes. Full length mirror and hairdryer provided. The Bathroom: A newly fitted, oriental, boutique-style bathroom. The absolute highlight of the space is a deep Japanese soaking tub and rain shower. Location, Transport & Parking The apartment offers the perfect balance: it sits in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood away from the noise of the city center, yet remains highly accessible to all major institutions. On Foot: It is a straightforward, mostly flat 30-minute walk to the city center, the University of Plymouth, and Arts University Plymouth. By Car or Taxi: It is a quick 7-minute drive or Uber into the city center (typically costing around £8–£10). Public Transport: Local buses stop nearby regularly, connecting you straight to the central campuses, the main train station, Plymouth Marjon University, and the Peninsula Medical School. Parking: There is free, unrestricted on-street parking directly at both the front and the back of the property and off street reserved parking at the rear. There are no permits, fees, or time limits required, so you can safely park your vehicle and leave it untouched for weeks at a time. House Rules & Suitability Max Occupancy: Perfect for a single professional or a couple. Pets & Smoking: No smoking and no pets permitted, keeping the historic space clean and allergen-free. Respecting the Space: As this is my personal home filled with a curated collection of art, books, and historic features, I am looking for respectful, conscientious guests who will treat the property with care. The weekly cleaning service is included to help seamlessly maintain the high standard of the flat throughout your stay. Regretfully the space is not suitable for children.
