Hello, we are a couple in our early 50s with twin daughters, soon to be 11. Frank is an architect and Colleen is a writer and journalist. We love to cook, travel and explore. We have lived in our house for over 10 years, after having lived in New York City for many years. Some things that we love about where we live: The beaches are beautiful and varied. There are larger beaches on the ocean, and more quiet beaches in protected areas of the bays. We have a sailboat and love to sail for a weekend to the islands around us. The food produce grown locally is excellent, as is the seafood. Our 2-story home in Springs, an area of natural beauty with a rich history of famous artists and fisherman, is located a short drive to the village of East Hampton, as well as Amagansett and Montauk. In the fall of 2024, we renovated the downstairs with a new kitchen. The central air conditioning and heating system was completely upgraded in 2023. The house has 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms are upstairs (king and queen size) with a bathroom (shower/tub). The downstairs has a full size bed and the bathroom has a shower. There is an outdoor shower with a privacy curtain off the deck which is nice for rinsing off after the beach. There is a deck off the living room with a gas grill. In the enclosed rear yard we have 2 large garden beds where we grow vegetables. We have a lot of items for use at a beach: Surfboard, beach chairs, beach blankets and umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers. Tennis rackets and some bicycles (adult men's road bicycle, children's bicycles). Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, rather modest compared to the reputation of the Hamptons. Our property is approximately 1/3 acre, which is typical for houses in the immediate area. Most everything one would typically want is within a 10-15 minute drive. East Hampton is reachable from New York City by train via the Long Island Railroad (LIRR), which takes about 2.5 - 3 hours. There is a direct train connection at JFK airport to the LIRR. There is also a nice bus service to the Hamptons called the Hampton Jitney that runs several times a day. We are spending the upcoming year in Paris, and would like find someone to rent our home (and treat it like their home) for the school year. We do have some flexible with dates and timing.

Comments: The Hamptons is a gorgeous area -- here in East Hampton, we are close to the ocean and bay beaches, perfect for swimming, boating and strolling. The off season is a lovely time for hiking and cozying up by the fire.
Comments: It's an architect's home and the first floor (including kitchen) was recently fully renovated. Midcentury modern touches abound. The backyard is fenced and we are fine with pets.
Comments: We have a Tesla charger, in the event the renter has an EV.

Comments: We are located in a quiet, year-round neighborhood full of modest homes. The celebrity homes are "South of the highway," several miles away. We are in a historic artists' community known as Springs, not far from Jackson Pollock house.

Comments: We have young children and will be spending the school year in Paris, so we prefer a long-term renter.
