Our fully furnished 3-bedroom (or 2-bedroom and 1 office), 1.5-bath home on a quiet tree-lined street is a cozy landing spot for a sabbatical stay. Built in 1928, it's full of the kind of character that makes a place feel like home right away — original hardwood floors, arched doorways, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and lots of natural light. The kitchen has been updated with quartz counters and stainless appliances, and there's a formal dining room for dinner parties or grading-over-coffee mornings. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms; a third bedroom that can also serve as an office plus a finished basement family room (with gym equipment) and laundry give you plenty of room to spread out. Central A/C, gas heat, washer/dryer, and all the kitchen appliances are included. Out back, there's a large deck, a raised-bed garden if you like to putter, and a fully fenced yard that opens onto a school field — lovely green views and a nice place to watch neighborhood football games. A two-car detached garage handles Indiana winters, and the poured drive is brand new. The Sunnymede neighborhood is friendly and walkable — just 8 minutes by car or a lovely 15-minute bike ride to Notre Dame, and close to River Park's shops, restaurants, and the East Race. Jefferson Middle School is a block away, and Adams High School is a short walk. Pets are warmly welcomed. We love raising our family here and would be delighted to share it with visiting scholars, a sabbatical family, or anyone in town for a longer stay.
