Beautiful Bright Architect-Designed Home in Halifax

We are a family of 3 (my partner and I, both architects with our own practice and who both teach at the University, as well as our daughter who will be 6 soon). My partner has a sabbatical coming up for 6 months from January 2026 and so we will be renting out our home during this time. We have an amazing house in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, that we just built (and was recently featured in Dwell Magazine!) We are open to ideas, and are flexible on the exact timing within those 6 months (but a minimum of a 3-4 month rental would be ideal). ABOUT OUR HOME: We are architects that recently designed and build our home - which was recently featured in Dwell Magazine. The home is 265 sqm / 2850 sqft. MAIN LEVEL: Living, dining and kitchen are located in a beautiful vaulted space at the back away from the street, with large patio doors opening onto the fenced in garden / patio (with BBQ, outdoor seating & fire pit with Adirondack chairs). There is a separate office space (with meeting table, printer, and space for up to 4 work stations, and a wet bar). The ground floor also has a separate w/c. There is also a separate courtyard off of the office and kitchen area with a table and chairs, perfect for summer meetings. GARAGE: A one car garage for a car / bicycle storage can be accessed from the street or the rear garden. BASEMENT: Includes a large play space with fitted carpet, a large cinema-tv space, a small gym (with peloton-style spin bike, workout bench and weights), a large laundry area and a full bathroom. BEDROOMS: A large primary bedroom on the top floor with ensuite, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor (one is our child's room with a double bed, the other is a guest bedroom with a queen bed). ABOUT THE LOCATION: We are located in the vibrant and trendy North End neighbourhood of Halifax, tucked away on a quiet one block street. Amazing restaurants, cafes, and amenities are right around the corner - including a large open space (the Commons) which has free bicycle rentals in the summer and skating in the winter, a public outdoor pool, large open fields and a playground. We are a 15 minute walk to Downtown Halifax, or a short bike ride.
