Description

We are an academic couple going on sabbatical and looking to lease ideally to a visiting couple or small family for 10-12 months. Our house is a new build contemporary architectural gem designed like a resort. Watch large screen tv or listen to music on sound system while cooking in kitchen complete with Italian cabinets and granite countertops. Power room upon entry with 1/2 bath; hardwood flooring throughout. Walk upstairs to a hallway flooded with light from three skylights . Unwind in spacious master bedroom opening to south-facing back garden. Take a bath in stand-alone bathtub or shower off in lux with twin vanities. Dress yourself in walk-in closet + adjoining his/her closet. Kid's room doubles as an office facing West, unobstructed view and natural light and spacious closet (can provide a crib). Third bedroom adjoining accommodates queen size bed and desk set up if desired, currently furnished with walnut bookshelves and matching console. Second "tropical" full bathroom has skylight and sizeable cabinetry. Washer and Dryer both recently replaced, conveniently located on the second floor. Finished and furnished basement walks out to the backyard; a second crate&barrel couch and a pullout sleeper couch for hosting; bathroom with shower can be used for guest or self. A forth, smaller bedroom is currently set up as a guest room but we may need to use it for storage. Downstairs leads direct into the garage with 1 car parking (nice for Toronto winters). Walk to three supermarkets in less than 10 min (metro/loblaw/freshco). Walk out to a quiet and family friendly neighbourhood; parks and schools are within 5-10 min walk. Leisurely stroll down to Kingston Road and Queen Street east populated with restaurants, boutiques, and a state-of-art local YMCA. Stroll further south and you'll find yourself in the beaches with boardwalk and picnicking during the summer. Enjoy beaches Jazz festival, arts and crafts shows, concert at Woodbine Park, and festivities for the whole family. Location is ideal for commuting to University of Toronto downtown campus; walk 10 min or bus to Victoria Park station and it's a 20 min straight ride onto campus (St. George station). Also an easy drive to 25 min to U of Toronto Scarborough where there are beautiful walking trails around campus.
