We are a family of four, two adults and two kiddos, looking to spend a year abroad. We would love to find a family to make our home their own while we are away, but the house is perfect for anyone looking for a respite from city life, winter life, or both! Nestled in a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood, this Keys oasis is perfectly situated—just a minute's walk from a local beach and a public boat ramp. It offers the ideal blend of serene coastal living and convenient, spacious comfort. This large property is designed for family life, offering abundant space for everyone to spread out, gather, and enjoy. Inside, you'll find an open floor plan, a modern, well-equipped kitchen, and fast, reliable internet to support remote work and school needs. The main living level features an open-concept layout, where a naturally-lit living room flows into a large kitchen and built-in dining area. This space opens onto a spacious deck overlooking the peaceful pool, backyard, and tree canopy—a perfect spot for family meals with outdoor tables/seating, ceiling fans, and a gas grill. This level includes three comfortable bedrooms: two smaller rooms with single twin beds (great for children or a home office) and the master suite with a queen-sized bed. You'll find two full bathrooms, including a luxurious master bath with a double-sink stone countertop, a separate toilet room, and a beautiful walk-in shower. (Note: We are open to changing the configuration of the smaller bedrooms to accommodate needs for anyone staying longer than a few months, including different beds/furniture and/or converting one room to an office space.) The lower level provides an expansive secondary living area, perfect for a dedicated family room, home-school learning space, or den. It features a supremely comfortable memory-foam king-sized pull-out couch—ideal for overnight guests—a large 75” smart TV for family movie nights, a refrigerator, and a small bar-style sink. A full bath with a spacious shower completes this level, offering extra convenience. (Note: There is a second room on the lower level that is used for owner storage and is not part of the rental space.) The property truly shines outdoors, setting the stage for endless family fun and relaxation. The main attraction is the partially shaded pool and hot tub, which features a gradual staired entry for easy access. The pool deck offers lounge chairs, a table with an umbrella, and a covered seating area with a foosball table. The entire pool and backyard area features secure, child-safe gates. For active families, there's an outdoor dart board, an adjustable basketball hoop, cornhole boards, and a medley of paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes. On cooler Florida evenings, gather around the backyard firepit for s'mores and stories. The Keys are renowned for world class sport and recreational fishing, snorkeling and diving, boat life, and just overall good island vibes! There is space on the property to park and store a reasonably sized boat, and there is a public boat ramp right around the corner for easy water access. There is also a small public beach just a minute's walk down the road which is open on select weekdays. If you are looking for life by the water, this is the place! The local school district received an "A" grade in 2025 and is well versed in hosting students short term, making it a great option if you are bringing your kids. You’ll also be 5 miles from the nearest grocery store, 3 miles from Harry Harris oceanfront park, and a mile’s walk away from the classic breakfast spot Harriette’s and oceanfront dining and cocktails at Snapper’s.
