This comfortable family house is located in the central "island" of Kyoto, between two river streams (the Kamogawa river and the Takasegawa canal), and 2 central avenues: Gojo (Fifth Avenue) and Shichijo (Seventh Avenue). 1 km away from Kyoto JR station it is a very convenient location. This house is a historical machiya built in the 1910s, who served as a so-called teahouse '(chaya 茶屋), it has been restored in 2019 in order to recreate a cosy Japanese house, with more day light and a good thermal insulation. The ground floor is has a fully equipped kitchen, and a living space facing a backyard. The second floor has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with tatami and futon mattresses. There are bathrooms on each floor. The house has 4 AC units and a heated floor, it is a comfortable nest. It is ideal for a family of 4 people, up to 6 people when using the downstairs sofa bed.
