The Space – A 19th-Century Bio-Sanctuary CasaRosada is a historic retreat home located in the peaceful village of Vidracco, in the beautiful Valchiusella valley of northern Italy, just a few minutes’ walk from the Damanhur Federation and the Temples of Humankind. The house is a lovingly restored 19th-century rural building renovated with natural and eco-friendly materials. Vaulted ceilings, authentic stone walls, a fireplace and a small garden preserve the character of the original house while offering comfort and quiet. More than an apartment, CasaRosada is a private sanctuary designed for reflection, creative work and personal retreats. Many guests come here for sabbaticals, writing periods, research, or simply to spend time in a peaceful and inspiring environment. The space offers fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable workspace. Guests may also enjoy a private wellness area with sauna and Turkish bath (hammam), available on request. Professional body-mind treatments and psychosomatic bodywork sessions can also be arranged. Nature surrounds the house. Just a short walk away are the crystal-clear pools of the Chiusella River, where locals swim in summer and walk or meditate along the water throughout the year. Forests, mountains and walking paths begin just outside the village. The Valchiusella valley is known for its wild natural beauty. In addition to the Chiusella River, the area offers mountain lakes, forests and panoramic hiking routes. Within a short drive you can reach the high Alpine landscapes of the Aosta Valley, where glaciers and dramatic peaks create unforgettable scenery. The region offers many opportunities to reconnect with nature and local traditions. Guests can experience activities such as visits to local beekeepers, horse riding, nature walks and mountain excursions. The valley is also known for its holistic and spiritual culture, with opportunities for meditation, bodywork and personal growth. Only 300 meters from the house, the Damanhur Crea center offers a self-service restaurant with organic, vegan and gluten-free meals, as well as an organic grocery store. Vidracco is a quiet gateway to the Alps, located about 45 minutes from Turin, the historic capital of Piedmont. About the Host I am a holistic and transpersonal psychotherapist, as well as a tango dancer and tango therapist. CasaRosada was created as a living space where nature, creativity and inner exploration can coexist. I am happy to share knowledge of the area and, for those interested, body-mind treatments or tango-based therapeutic practices. CasaRosada is especially suitable for writers, researchers, artists, therapists and anyone looking for a calm place for a retreat, sabbatical or period of deep work. Longer stays are very welcome.
