This is an invitation to live in a special forest retreat while enjoying easy access to the heart of Silicon Valley. THE SPACE The home is a uniquely designed, craftsman-style, three-level residence nestled in the forest. You'll have exclusive access to 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The first floor offers a stocked kitchen, a beautifully appointed dining area, a wood stove, a living room, a cozy reading nook, a full bathroom and glorious panoramic forest views, bringing the beauty of the redwoods right into your daily indoor life. The second floor has two bedrooms and one full bath including laundry area. The third floor has the third full bathroom and the main bedroom suite. THE SETTING Wake to forest views, birdsong, and creek sounds, with immediate access to 6,000 acres of open space. The forest provides natural cooling year-round — especially wonderful in the summer months. The wood stove heats the house well through winter. You're also just 15 minutes from the Pacific Ocean, 20 minutes from Stanford campus, and 30 minutes from downtown Palo Alto, with hiking trails throughout the area. ABOUT ME I'll be your neighbor, living in a cottage on the property but out of sight from the main house - you have total privacy. I deeply value this land's peaceful nature and am committed to maintaining its serene environment and offering my guests genuine peace and privacy. The one shared space is the laundry room, which has its own separate exterior entrance from the main house. I ask to access it just once a week, at a time that works for your schedule — that's the full extent of any overlap between us. This works beautifully for visiting academics, researchers, writers, or professionals on sabbatical seeking a contemplative, naturally beautiful environment. PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS The home operates on a septic system, and water is pumped from the creek through a sophisticated filtration system — both well-maintained.
