Fully furnished and well-appointed 1+ bedroom apartment located in quiet Belmont, the town just next door to Cambridge. Well suited for a single occupant or couple. The unit is very large for a one bedroom unit (it was a 2-bedroom before renovation). Includes living room, dining room, bedroom, sunroom with guest bed, spacious office and renovated kitchen. All supplies provided for day-to-day living, including linens, china, glassware, cooking pots/pans, serving dishes, etc. We are new to 'Sabbatical Homes' but we have rented to multiple academics visiting Harvard from abroad on other platforms. We are happy to share those reviews, viewable on another listing site. We can also put you in touch with past tenants who are academics, and can offer a tour of the apartment in-person or via Facetime. A little bit more about the space: > The apartment is located in a two-family home on a quiet street. We (owners) live upstairs in a separate apartment; we are happy to be as helpful or as uninvolved as you prefer. :) > The bedroom has a full-size (double) bed. All linens provided. > The kitchen is fully remodeled with high-end appliances in excellent condition. > In-unit laundry; full-sized, new machines. > Small air conditioner (window unit) for back of apartment. Tenant provides additional A/C if needed. > Back porch and shared back patio area with seating. > Walkable, safe neighborhood near shops and restaurants; <5 minutes walking to the 73 bus. > Bike commuting to Cambridge is straightforward; secure, shared garage storage for up to two bikes. > Note: there is no parking on site and our town does not allow overnight street parking. About us: I'm a freelance researcher and my husband is an epidemiologist for the American Red Cross. We have been living in this 2-family home for 20+ years and raised our four kids here. We've enjoyed many wonderful tenants over that time. We are easygoing and generally quiet; we hope to find folks who will enjoy the neighborhood and take good care of the apartment.
