My wife and I have rented this apartment in our home for 25 years. Now widowed, I am happy to continue offering it to tenants who will appreciate the opportunities and amenities presenting themselves in this much loved neighborhood. We have neighbors who have lived here for decades, while others have recently moved here to raise families and take advantage of the excellent neighborhood elementary school. Many in the neighborhood have lived and worked overseas, choosing to settle here precisely because of the worldliness of so many residents. Mt. Pleasant is known for the diversity, energy, and activism of its residents. Like many, I am involved in efforts to maintain the character and vibrancy of the neighborhood. My daughter and her family live nearby. We all feel fortunate to have access to a weekly farmer's market, a well used central community plaza, the public library, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, a yoga studio, Rock Creek Park, and easy access to the many attractions DC offers.
