Top (sixth) floor 1br corner apartment in elevator building in Midwood area of Brooklyn. 1.5 blocks from Q train Avenue H stop. Very sunny (windows in every room), beautiful views, and very quiet, with hardwood floors throughout. Queen sized bed, fast WiFi, 60” flat screen TV, dishwasher, new refrigerator, microwave, new A/C units in living room and bedroom, ventilation heat in the winter, desks in bedroom and living room (with a second screen/monitor), stereo monitors with aux cable in the bedroom and living room. Laundry (paid with a credit/debit card) in the basement. NO PETS. $2900/month all inclusive of rent, utilities and insurance. You would be living with my books, art work, records, kitchenware. I have taken care to make it a fully stocked, comfortable place to come home to (I'm a triple earth sign). Closets and dressers are empty to make room for your clothes and desks are clear for you to work on. Accessibility info: There are a few steps leading up to front door of the building. (There is a ramp entrance via the side of the building that leads to the basement) The front doors are not automatic. The elevator is reliable. It is a very walkable, beautiful neighborhood with tree lined streets and lots of hundred year old houses. It's very close to Brooklyn College. There are supermarkets, delis and restaurants close by. It is about ten minutes away by subway to Prospect Park and about thirty five minutes into Manhattan. The nearest subway stop (Q line) is three minutes away from the front door of the building. The Q train runs all the way to Coney Island in Brooklyn and in Manhattan stops near Penn Station and is one of the many trains that services Times Square. If you have a car, there is a lot of free street parking available. The apartment is ideal for quiet, mature persons who are good communicator. I am an artist and university professor. (he/him) I have lived in New York for twenty eight years. About three years ago I began living in Los Angeles as well, where I am an associate professor at UCLA. Queer and Latinx, which may or may not explain the colorful nature of my living spaces. I clean my apartment regularly and keep it orderly. I am easily reachable by text during the sublet. I have a New York based assistant who will come through to collect mail from time to time. NO PARTIAL SUBLET - I am not renting for less than the time advertised. Because this is a co-op, this is not an option, so please don't ask. Because it’s a coop, you will have to apply through the building's management company. Your bank info, income info, recent taxes, one professional reference letter, one personal reference letter, bank letter and a reference letter from your current landlord are ALL required. Wish it was simpler but that’s just the process. I am covering the application fee. There is a two week turnaround to be approved. Upon approval, one month's rent and a security deposit in the same amount are requested. You will receive the security deposit back at the end of the rental if everything is intact.

Comments: Top floor 1 br apt in beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood, very walkable, 1.5 blocks away from the Q train, close to Prospect Park and the beaches by train, doesn't feel like you're in the city, close to cafes, street parking if you have a car.
Comments: Rent due on the last day of each month for the following month. It is all inclusive: rent/insurance/electric/gas/wifi. Rental cost is based on actual monthly cost of the apartment.
Comments: Most of the tenants are long term residents. It's a co-op, which means the building's maintenance is attended to be a coop board made up of the building's residents. Although it's a vintage building it is well maintained.
