Description

Hello! My name is Connie, and I’ve had the pleasure of calling the Burren home for over 35 years. This remarkable landscape has woven itself into my life in ways I could have never imagined. Nestled within this enchanting area is Aisling Cottage, a place that holds not just memories, but a spirit that resonates with creativity and warmth. Aisling Cottage is more than just a building; it’s a cherished legacy that my late husband, Seán, a gifted musician and a dreamer, and I lovingly restored together. Over the years, we poured our hearts into every nook and cranny, breathing life into the walls of this 200-year-old limestone cottage. For Séan, the cottage and its breathtaking surroundings were a constant source of inspiration, fueling his passion for music and song. Throughout our journey, we welcomed many friends into our home—most of whom were musicians drawn to the magic that Aisling Cottage exudes. What started as a weekend visit often turned into extended stays, as friends would immerse themselves in the cozy atmosphere, helping to build the staircase or the kitchen, all while creating beautiful music that echoed through our home. Those nights filled with laughter, melodies, and heartfelt conversations have left an indelible mark on my heart and on the very essence of Aisling Cottage. The cottage has always been a haven of creativity, its spirit intertwined with the laughter and songs of those who have visited. Every corner of the cottage tells a story, a tale of friendship, artistry, and the joy of living in the moment. I truly believe that the soul of Aisling Cottage is hidden in its bones, waiting to be discovered by those who take the time to appreciate its beauty. To me, Aisling Cottage is more than just a place to stay; it’s a grand old lady, full of character and history, always ready to reveal her magic to those willing to embrace her charm. I have poured my love into this home, it’s where we brought up our daughter Ró also a creative living and practicing her craft in Berlin but for her the inspiration started her in Aisling I genuinely believe that you will find it too. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, a creative sanctuary, or simply a place to unwind and connect with nature, Aisling Cottage has something special to offer. I invite you to come and experience the magic of Aisling Cottage for yourself. Allow the serene beauty of the Burren to inspire you, and let the spirit of this wonderful home envelop you in warmth and creativity. I can’t wait for you to create your own memories here, just as I have over the years. Welcome to Aisling Cottage—where every moment is a chance to discover the extraordinary.
