Villa Serenidad is available for vacation rentals; digital nomad stays, as well as for semester-long & full academic-year sabbatical stays. Located in Tao Ocean, a tranquil seaside community, the villa is adjacent to the beach town of Akumal (a snorkelers’ paradise), midway between Playa del Carmen & Tulum, & 75 meters from the beach.  Entering Tao Ocean, you'll be greeted by friendly & attentive 24-hour security staff. Parking is free on the quiet main street. This fully-furnished 3-bedroom, 3-bath villa features a contemporary open-concept design with tile floors & high ceilings. All indoor rooms connect to outdoor living spaces: a garden patio on the 1st floor, a Juliet balcony & lounging terrace on the 2nd floor, & a roof-top terrace.  The oversized sliding doors in the main living space on the 1st floor provide light and access to the garden patio with its lush greenery. The patio has an outdoor dining table & a shade umbrella.  A corner of the 1st-floor living area is a dedicated work-space overlooking the back garden. Wi-Fi connectivity is provided here & throughout the villa. This work-space is equipped with a desk, a universal charger for cell-phones & laptops, & a mini-library with fiction & non-fiction titles.  The villa's fully-equipped kitchen offers ample space and all the necessary tools for cooking, as well as a large refrigerator, stove-top oven, dishwasher, microwave, & small appliances. The dining table next to the kitchen can seat 6. The first of the Villa's 3 bedrooms, on the ground floor, has a Double bed & a bathroom located just outside the door. This bedroom is also well-suited for guests who prefer not to climb stairs, or who have some limited mobility.  The 2nd floor of the villa is dedicated to relaxation with two additional bedrooms. The 1st bedroom on this floor has a Queen-sized bed, and an en-suite bath. In turn, sliding patio doors let the sunshine in and open out onto a Juliet balcony.  Like the patio doors downstairs, the sliding doors in the bedrooms on the 2nd floor have screens that can be opened to let in ocean breezes and window blinds for shade.  The 3rd, largest bedroom in the villa features a set of wrap-around windows, along with a King-sized bed and an adjoining en-suite bath with two sinks. Sliding doors open out onto a spacious lounging terrace that overlooks the tree-tops.  All 3 bedrooms in the villa have large closets & sets of drawers for clothing & luggage storage.  In turn, all 3 bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans and air-conditioning units, allowing the AC temperature to be adjusted with remote controls. All 3 bathrooms feature spacious, marble-tiled shower stalls; and bathroom amenities, including bath towels, hand towels, beach towels, shampoo, body wash, hand soap, a blow-dryer, etc. are provided.  An additional outstanding feature of the villa is the roof terrace where guests can take in breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the surrounding tropical terrain and, at night, relax under a star-filled sky.  The rooftop is set up with lounge chairs, and also has a bar counter with a sink.   Jungle Fish, the open-air Beach Club, restaurant, and bar for Tao Ocean, is located a 2 minute walk from Villa Serenidad through shady paths. With the purchase of a beverage or food item, enjoy all the amenities of the Beach Club, including a swimming pool & outdoor showers, for the entire day and throughout your stay. In addition, take dips in the ocean, long walks on the white-sand beach, relax in loungers under the Club’s beach umbrellas, and enjoy great seafood meals at the seaside tables. In addition, guests are welcome to boost their well-being at the Tao Ocean Wellness Center, located 5-minutes by car from the Villa. The Wellness Center has two outdoor, salt-water lap swimming pools, a gym, yoga and other exercise classes, & more. Fees for the services at the Wellness Center will apply.
