I'm João Ramos, 68 years old, retired. I worked as a business and technology journalist for a national newspaper for about 30 years. Currently, I continue to write and also dedicate myself to gardening. My wife, Manuela, 59, is a ice cream chef and works at her ice cream company. We enjoy outdoor sports, especially hiking together. I also cycle and play table tennis. Manuela practices yoga and studies Ayurvedic medicine. We love good food and exploring authentic cuisine from other countries. On our travels, we seek to discover the authenticity of each place. We joined Sabaticalhomes because we moved to our country and beach house. At moment we don´t need our apartment in Pontinha as our primary residence. This apartment is comfortable, bright, quiet, and very well located in a spacious and safe residential area. It's on the 7th floor of a building served by three elevators. It is located in Pontinha, a town bordering the city of Lisbon. The apartment is 20 minutes from Lisbon Airport and is served by an excellent transportation network. It is located next to the Pontinha metro station (blue line), which provides direct access to downtown Lisbon (20 minutes) and Lisbon's main university campuses. For guests traveling by car, parking is easy because the building is located next to a large, free public parking lot. Nearby, there is a supermarket for daily groceries, a pharmacy, and an 800-meter walk (or two metro stops) away is one of Lisbon's largest shopping centers (Colombo Shopping Center), with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. .
