I am a writer, animal lover, gardener and empty nester. I work with Stanford University, mostly from home. I love to be outside in the garden, swimming, hiking, etc the usual Bay Area fun stuff. I value a peaceful environment, as well as good friends, good music, good food, etc. a fun, well-balanced life. I value a considerate, warm-hearted, courteous neighbor/tenant who will treat a beautiful space respectfully and lives a reasonable quiet lifestyle. The rental unit is on the lower level of my home and is connected to my space by a large deck that connects to a shared garden, so a friendly, considerate mindset is key. I also have a beautiful yoga space in the backyard and am happy to share it. I love animals and am happy to share my dog with a tenant (free waggles and games without any of the cleanup!), but cannot host additional pets in the rental unit at this time. I also am careful about using water wisely and seek tenants who will observe wise water guidelines in the rental unit. (easy stuff, like don't leave the water running while you wash hands, brush teeth, wash full loads of laundry etc.)

Margaux is a 7 1/2 year old staffie (aka "pit") - Husky mix, ultra-friendly and available for snuggles and walks. I would welcome a dog-lover who'd be up for occasional dog-sitting, but by no means required.

I have a vegetable garden that tenant is welcome to share and enjoy. I may ask for occasional help with watering when I am out of town.

Comments: The unit is recently renovated and has easy access to large deck, garden and yoga space in backyard. There is a workspace and desk chair. Tenant has access to washer and dryer. There are four steps to the entry and stairs from deck to garden.
