The house is a classic New Orleans side hall shotgun. The side hall means you don't have to go through each room to reach the next. It is one of the oldest houses in the neighborhood as it's raised well above ground level indicating construction prior to the early levees. The house was renovated in 2023 so all appliances and systems are new though the original architecture was preserved. There are two private bedrooms plus a pull-out sofa in the dining room/office and a bunk room for children. Plywood and linoleum were stripped off all floors to reveal the original pine. Though all floors have been refinished, it would be great if tenants left shoes and boots in the hallway.
