We are renting our 3-bedroom home in the East Rock neighborhood. Built in 1868, the house has central air and all new windows, and the whole interior was repainted in 2023. It's a rare mid-sized house in a neighborhood full of grand houses and multi-family homes--perfect if you're looking for comfort and privacy during your time in New Haven. The first floor includes a fully stocked kitchen (with lively cement tile flooring and a new induction stove), a living room and dining room, a bathroom, and a quiet back bedroom that looks out on the garden. The second floor has the main bedroom, a kid's bedroom with a crib/toddler bed, a multipurpose family room with a TV, a second bathroom, and a large sunny office. Both baths/showers have great water pressure (in case this is a concern!) and the second floor bedroom has blackout Roman shades. The house is located in a great neighborhood that is equidistant to Yale campus and East Rock park, a beloved forested park at the city limit. You can shop for groceries on foot--we are around the corner from a butcher, a bakery, and the neighborhood's Korean, Mexican, and Italian markets--or treat yourself to some of New Haven's best restaurants.
