This is a sunlit oasis which includes a soaker tub with epsom salts for your use, a filtered water system for safe drinking (installed under kitchen sink), an assortment of teas, friendly plants, a comfortable bed (avocado mattress), high quality linens, an air filter, abundant natural light, and meditation pillows. The curated decorative vibe includes contemporary furniture with a dash of antiques, an art collection of works by mainly local artists, and a vast book collection. There is a building courtyard with a garden and benches that serves as a "backyard", which is usually quiet and a perfect place for morning tea sits, reads or qi gong. The washer and dryer are in the building basement (key provided). Building access is secure with FOBs (will be provided). The Petworth neighborhood still holds much of Washington DC's unique charm. This is a family-oriented neighborhood. The main street is slightly busy: you will hear buses and vespas rev up the slight hill (feels a bit like being in Europe). The neighborhood is safe to walk, but it is always advised in Washington DC to be on your guard. There is a Capital Bike Share rack across the street, and Fort Totten metro stop is a 10 minute walk. Uber bikes are also easy to find in the area. There is also a laundromat and grocery store across the street (2 minute walk), and a latin restaurant with fantastic margaritas!
