Fully furnished, 1-bedroom apartment in Somerville, near Cambridge. I am a university professor looking to find a subletor for this summer. I have lived in this apartment for over five years. It is fully furnished and on the top (second) floor of a quiet building. It is a good option for those wishing to be well connected to public transportation and to the restaurants and cultural venues of Somerville and Cambrige's main "squares" (commercial areas). Convenient access to public transportation: A 15-minute walk to Porter Sq in Cambridge (and the Red Line) and a 12-minute walk to the Magoun Sq station on the Green Line. Just be mindful that walking back to the apartment involves an uphill segment of about 5 minutes. Other walking distances: 30 minutes to Harvard sq, 15 minutes to Davis sq, 20 minutes to Union Sq., 12 minutes to the Somerville community path (which is lovely for walking and biking). Easy biking: Somerville and Cambridge are well served with bike paths that extend in multiple directions, including Kendall sq and Boston. There's a Blue Bike station (with both regular and e-bikes) across the street from the building. In addition, the building has an outdoor bike rack. Driving: An on-site parking spot is not available, and street parking is only available for Somerville residents. Workspace: The living room includes a sit-stand desk, an office chair, and a printer. I can also leave a computer monitor and other peripherals (webcam, bluetooth keyboard and mouse, USB microphone). Fully furnished and equipped with a dishwasher, cookware, a coffee grinder and a Gagghia Classic espresso maker, a TV with Google Chromecast, an A/C unit in the living room (no A/C unit in the bedroom), and a fan. There is sufficient closet space, including a closet in the bedroom. There is a shared (coin-op) laundry room in the basement. No smoking, no dogs, maximum of 2 people. Rent is $1850/month. We would sign a standard sublet agreement, and the property manager would complete a standard background check. Utilities (electricity and Wi-Fi, around $150 total depending on the month) are not included in the rent. I am looking to sublet it for at least 1 month.
