Hello! We are an academic family looking to rent our amazing apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. One block from Central Park, five minute walk to multiple subway and bus lines. Easy access to Columbia, Barnard, NYU, Fordham, Juilliard, and several CUNY campuses. The main living area has large windows with open city views to the south and east. The kitchen area includes an extra-large butcher-block island with storage. We have a Kitchenaid full-size fridge, dishwasher, oven, and microwave. The home is well stocked with glassware, ceramic ware, appliances, pots and pans, and a separate pantry. Our living room has a giant L-shaped couch and wall-to-wall shelving. A painted solid wood dining table (seats four) doubles as a desk. This room has a ceiling fan & amazing light in the morning and the afternoon. The tiled bathroom includes a full-size tub / shower. The fixtures have been recently replaced, and the toilet includes an attached bidet sprayer. The bathroom is accessible from the main living space. Our bedroom has a giant casement window with open sky views. Light-blocking shades available. Queen-sized bed with a recently purchased latex mattress. We will supply linens and clear closet / dresser space for you. We can also offer a crib and high chair if you have a little one. We live on the best block on the Upper West side. Joe Coffee, Viand Diner, Gristedes supermarket, Pete’s pizza, H&H bagels, and a 24-hour deli are right downstairs. (And so much more!) Strand bookstore, plant stores, Barney Greengrass and Zabars, dozens of coffeeshops, world-famous museums, vintage shops… you can find anything just a short walk away. Walk to the Met in 10 minutes! **All utilities are included. A monthly cleaning with our trusted cleaners is also included.** We can arrange more frequent cleaning and/or laundry services at an additional cost. Heat is steam radiator and AC is permanently installed window units. Our building is a co-op with a live-in super. It is an elevator pre-war building with a part-time doorman, common laundry room with new appliances in the basement, and same-floor trash chute and recycling collection. Our rates are negotiable for longer stays. Please note: The apartment also includes one small room that we will use for storage. This room is not included in the rental. This listing is perfect for an academic-year or semester-long rental, but we will consider shorter stays (minimum 2 weeks) on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch with any questions!
