Pan's Grotto is a newly built studio apartment (345 square feet) tucked into a private and tranquil garden, minutes from Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Coronado Island, walking distance to East Village, and Gaslamp Quarter. Ideal for one person, the Grotto was built into the basement of our historic 120-year-old home in 2021. The Grotto features light from three windows, (the bedroom area features blackout shades), a full bed, bathroom w/ shower, fully-stocked kitchen, designated workspace, dining area, and Vizio Smart TV. Guests have access to our magical enclosed garden, with outdoor tables and tree-shaded seating areas for dining alfresco or smoking. No smoking is allowed inside the Grotto. Laundry facilities upstairs can be accessed with prior notice. Just minutes from Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Coronado Island, walking distance to East Village, Petco Park, and Gaslamp Quarter, Sherman Heights is bordered by Golden Hill to the north, Grant Hill to the east, East Village to the west, and Logan Heights to the south. There is easy access to freeways 5, 163, and 94 and public transportation, parks, restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Bus lines #3 and #5 stop on Market Street, one block away; San Diego Trolley@ Park & Market, nine blocks.
