Designed by Eugene Bradbury, who created many of the town's most significant buildings, 502 Park Hill has been a beloved family home for half a century and you can feel the good vibrations in every nook and cranny. Our home is furnished with a wonderful mix of mid-century modern furniture, vintage Youngstown metal kitchen cabinets, and souvenirs from travels around the world (our own sabbaticals!). We would love nothing more than to share this space with you (metaphorically, of course; it’s all yours) so you can also experience the joy of this warm fairytale cottage. The basics: the first floor has a breakfast room; kitchen; laundry room; dining room with fireplace and gorgeous stained and leaded glass windows; living room with fireplace and access to a very spacious side porch; study (also with a fireplace); full bathroom, and a screened-in porch for storage. The second floor has three bedrooms and a study, along with two full baths. Two of the bedrooms have private balconies and all have decorative fireplaces. Radiant heat (classic cast-iron radiators). The third floor can function as storage or study. In addition to the front porch, side porch, and upstairs balconies, our home has a lovely large yard with mature trees, and there is plenty of parking. We are one mile from the historic Downtown Mall and only 2.5 miles from UVA, easily accessible by bike, public transportation, or car. McIntire Park offers many recreational options close by, and walking and biking paths are right around the corner. Our home is also convenient to I64, the 250 Bypass, and Rt 29, and is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and many other shops and restaurants.
