I am an academic who will be away from Oxford for a period and would like to share our home with people who can enjoy it as much as we do. I'd love to help you get settled with flexible dates, advice about Oxford, integrating with the neighbourhood, and anything else useful. We live in a wonderful neighbourhood full of families, nature and pubs (4!). There is a lake, a forest, a meadow, a river, a community orchard and farm, 2 parks/play areas, 2 community centres and a farmers market - all of which support a uniquely welcoming community. Our home includes bicycles, a BBQ, lots of indoor and outdoor games, 6 fruit trees, a vegetable garden and more - all available for you to use. Uniquely, our home is fully equipped with all that you need to settle in quickly and comfortably. We'll leave you beds with clean sheets and towels, kitchen ware, small appliances, cleaning products, gardening tools, condiments and spices, etc, so you don't need to spend a lot of money and effort setting up. You'll arrive to an AirBnB style accommodation and have use of all of our house items during your stay.
