Contemporary house with an industrial architectural vibe and brilliant natural light. The house is centrally located in Austin's midtown area with easy access to all Austin has to offer and only three miles to the University of Texas. The house features many new appliances, 3 bedrooms, and 2 spa level bathrooms. Huge windows provide brilliant natural light. The house was an architect's project house in the 2000s so it has up to date amenities in an established neighborhood with large trees. The neighborhood is very friendly and in a terrific midtown location with walkable shops and restaurants. The Bus line to downtown and campus is 3 blocks away. The Rail line to downtown is 10-15 minute walk. This house has a touch of Mediterranean design with some Texas flair. We call it "Villa Dario" and reminds us of Mediterranean villas of old. We enjoy the area as it is amazingly close to many of the great things about Austin. The house has three bedrooms including a guest room/office. The office is a perfect work space with a large window, desk, comfortable Aeron chair, printer, paper shredder, sofa, television, and privacy--a perfect spot for your work and studies. The main living area has abundant natural light from the two story tinted window with a comfortable sofa and streaming television. The gourmet kitchen has everything you'd need for daily meals or a nice dinner with friends including new gas stove/oven, quartz countertop, quiet dishwasher, high-end cookware, and stoneware dishes. The two bathrooms have walk-in showers with large shower heads and a soaking tub in the main bathroom along with tankless water heater for all your hot water needs. Because it is a second home, it has a lot of little extras that you won't be found in a generic rental. Need some birthday candles? They're in the kitchen. Need an extra toothbrush? Yes, we have that. Want to make a big meal? We have you covered with a well provisioned kitchen. Want to make waffles or ice cream--yep, we have those appliances too! Looking for something specific? Please let us know and we'll see how we can accommodate it. Since it is a part time residence, there will be a couple storage bins here and there and a couple of locked closets. There is a detached one car garage and shed on the property we use for storage that will not be available to guests. Otherwise, everything is accessible for you throughout your stay!
