ABOUT YOU This space would work well for a female scholar/PHD student/professor artist, or professional looking for a peaceful place to come home to or to work from. I want a female room-mate so I can hang out in my pajamas in the mornings! I have a fabulous, fluffy cat, Dandelion- so please enjoy cats and be non-allergic, but have no pets of your own  - sorry. WHEN RESPONDING, please tell me something about yourself, why you are in New York, your habits, hobbies etc. (-; My home is a haven and not a social hub, and that is especially so since Covid. I’m still quite Covid careful as I have underlying conditions, and would ask the same of you. If interested in the room, we can discuss what that means to each of us. I always mask on public transportation, for example and would ask you to do the same. Please be fully vaccinated and boosted.  No smoking, vaping or drugs. And no sleepovers – sorry! ABOUT ME: I’m a retired advertising writer (she) who spends a lot of time at home - writing music etc, but the gracious layout allows us both to be there comfortably. I am clean and tidy, quiet and respectful of your space and would expect the same. I'm a meditator, and inquirer into life. (btw, if you like yoga, they have yoga at Fort Tryon park once a week) I like music (classical mostly) but generally keep a quiet home. I don't eat red meat, and would probably find it hard to have these things in my fridge or to smell it cooking, except on a very occasional basis. Fish, chicken and veggies all good! I love my apartment and enjoy sharing it. I'm not a big TV person, but do watch Channel 13 , especially on Sunday nights and the occasional movie/Netflix etc...and you are welcome to join...or not. My cat, Dandelion is a very cherished resident and it's important that my room-mate enjoys having a cat around.. He loves company and affection but he is shy and needs gentleness and encouragement to engage with a new person.
