Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light. The downstairs features an open-plan living and dining area, a full kitchen, and a half bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find two full bathrooms, a spacious 430 sq ft/40 m² master bedroom with an office space for two and en-suite bathroom, a kid’s room with two single beds, and a cozy guest room with a really comfortable queen-size sofa bed. A full-size elevated inflatable mattress is also available. Rooftop Terrace The private 800 sq ft / 75 m² rooftop terrace offers a grill, dining area, and lounge space. About the Space The duplex, two flights up, features wooden floors, stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking. Upstairs bathrooms have bathtub/shower combinations, and there is a half bathroom downstairs . Big windows throughout the apartment bring in plenty of light. The living room and secondary bedroom overlook a tree-lined street, while the master bedroom faces the backyard of our downstairs neighbor. Location Situated in Central Harlem, the apartment is close to the 2 and 3 express subway lines, a 5-minute walk to the A and D express lines, and a 15-minute walk to Central Park. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are the closest supermarket, only two streets down. 125th Street is filled with major retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment, including live jazz. Across the street are world-renowned restaurants Sylvia's, Red Rooster, and Jacobs. Entertainment includes the Apollo Theater, Harlem Jazz Museum, Cotton Club, Lennox Lounge, and, again, well-known restaurant and jazz parlor Red Rooster. Getting around 3 minute walk to the 2,3 subway lines, 6min walk to the A,B,C,D subway lines. You can be in midtown Manhattan in 10 minutes on the express trains, or take the local bus if you prefer. Public bikes (Citybikes) are also an option. 10min walk to the Columbia University/Morning Side Park area. 15min walk to Central Park. Free street parking is available, but we do recommend public transportation to get around in a more efficient manner. About Us I am originally from Spain, and my husband, Nicolas, from Canada. We are a mid-career professional couple who have lived in New York City for over fifteen years now. We both love to travel. Before living in New York, we lived in cities like Paris, Rome, London, and Barcelona. Central Harlem, New York our home. I am a tenured professor specializing in Spanish literature and visual art, while Nicolas is a photographer and 3D artist. We have a son who as born in 2017, Luca. Our lovely cat, Lea, was born in June 2025, Additional Information Once you’ve reserved our home, we’ll provide detailed instructions for handling trash, recycling, and other household details. We will also share with you a custom guide to help you explore our vibrant neighborhood and New York. *Two Important Final Notes* -We have a cat at home. Her name is Lea. If you stay here, we just ask that you enjoy being around cats and can offer her a bit of basic care. If you have allergies or don’t love cats, we're really sorry but this might not be the best fit for you. -Our home may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Comments: $4,000/4 weeks, $1,100/week. We ask for a one-time $200 cleaning fee (all the money goes to the cleaner). If you're interested in weekly cleaning services, I can arrange them at a reduced rate per visit—just let me know.
Comments: Smoking is allowed on the balcony (located in the living room), and on the 800 sf/75m2 private rooftop terrace.
We have a domestic cat, her name is Lea. She is an easy-going, affectionate cat who also loves to play. Lea will be one year old in June 2026.
Comments: This is a townhouse, we take care of the garbage and recycling ourselves. If you have a problem with that we can help you hire someone who can do it for you.
