This sunny 1910 duplex is located in a safe portion of New Orleans within a short walk of the Canal and Carrollton streetcar lines (serving both downtown and City Park), many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores (including grocery stores), making this a highly convenient location. The 1750 sq ft house features original wood trim throughout; 2 upstairs bedrooms separated by a hall, each with a queen bed; and 2 1/2 bathrooms (one of which contains a clawfoot tub and bidet). An upstairs den, attached to the front bedroom, contains a new trundle sofa with two single beds (this den can serve as a third bedroom ). There is also a small study attached to the back bedroom. Amenities include a fully furnished kitchen with all appliances and service for 8; two television sets (in living/dining room and upstairs den); a stereo; a Wifi speaker; a router for streaming internet content (but no cable TV); a new washer and dryer; luxury sheets and towels. There is a porch in the front, and a small patio in the back which contains a hot tub; and a working baby grand piano. Street parking is never a problem in this safe residential area. The other half of the house is occupied by our son, who will help you get oriented in New Orleans. Easy access to streetcars to the French Quarter and City Park (a block away). Also close to the Lafitte Greenway (for bikers).
