Recently renovated loft studio inside carriage house with a large front and rear yard. Vaulted ceiling, large windows, full bath with heated floor, private kitchenette and private entrance. Split unit heating & AC with ceiling fans. Off-street parking. Built-in bookshelves and quiet surroundings make it ideal for writers, researchers, and digital nomads. The neighborhood of academics and professionals is safe and friendly. This unique space is inside a carriage house originally built by the hotelier and architect of the world-famous (to golfers) Pine Valley Golf Club, George Arthur Crump, in 1905. At the end of the street is a bike/running path. Merchantville is a picturesque, small, walkable town, tucked away and a 5-minute drive to Cherry Hill Mall, numerous major retail areas, grocery stores and restaurants. The carriage house is a 15 minute drive to Center City, Haddonfield and Collingswood and a 10 minute drive to the PATCO commuter train to Philly and the NJ Transit train to Atlantic City. A NJ Transit bus stop direct to Center City is on one end of the street. For several years, we have turned to SabbaticalHomes to find tenants with whom to share our other home in Brooklyn. We bought this second home in NJ during covid to escape the city and have been renovating it since, looking forward to sharing it with old and new friends as well.
