Fitzroy is often cited as Melbourne's 'coolest' suburb; it is eclectic, with lots of character, cafes, independent retailers and tree-lined 19th century streets. Behind the front garden and veranda is a much loved, large four-bedroomed house - with one bedroom set up as a guest study/small bedroom and another as my private study. Leading off a long hallway on the ground floor are traditional living and dining rooms, retaining original features, as well as a laundry room/pantry, and toilet. The house opens out at the back to a beautiful light-filled room with a well-equipped open plan kitchen, dining and living space, facing on to a verdant private garden.
