House 15 min from Midtown Manhattan/Central Park

Martha's place is a townhouse that has been renovated to preserve its authenticity. We (a family of 4 people with 2 teens) really enjoyed staying there for a week: it was very clean, functional, and comfortable, and Martha, her husband, or her daughter were always available to answer any questions we had. The street is quiet, yet well connected to Manhattan by the N and W subway lines. The subway station is just a few minutes' walk from the house. The Astoria neighborhood is very diverse, home to many nationalities, and as a foreigner, you immediately feel at home! You'll find countless shops (including supermarkets, bakery and laundromat next to the subway station), restaurants (Greek, Palestinian, Japanese, etc.). Everything was perfect.

My daughter and I spent 10 days in Martha's and Remo's house in June 2025. We really loved the house and the neighbourhood! It felt like a home away from home, cosy, clean and safe. The house is very conveniently located near the subway station so accessing Manhattan is very easy. The neighbourhood is vibrant and diverse with lovely food shops and restaurants. The hosts and their family were very accommodating, responsive and provided helpful information. We would love to go back sometime!

We are super happy to have had Martha and her family as hosts during our stay in New York City! With a conveniently located home next to the subway station in pittoresque Astoria (Queens) the house for perfect for exploring the city, and enjoying the rich diversity and restaurant scene of Astoria. Martha and her family kindly provided advice on local spots and were very accommodating and helpful.

I spent six months at Martha's house with my two kids. It was a wonderful experience, I felt as I was at home. I found a clean and accustomed , pretty and well organized house with all I needed. I'll dont forget the living room wth plenty of books and the shadow of the threes from the garden on the backyard. I think this is the best location for a stay in NYC, Astoria is a nice and safe borough with all you need, at only 15 min. from Manhattan, I felt in love with this place, really! Can't recommend a better place to stay in NYC, and Martha and Remo are the perfect guests.
