Charming Two bedroom period cottage on the outskirts of Oxford

My husband and I lived in Warsborough Cottage for just on two years and what a magical place it is! Located in the most picturesque street in a large and convenient village just north of Oxford, we loved our time in this property. The cottage itself is whisper quiet, tucked away in a secluded place but had the convenience of the bus to Oxford two minutes walk away. We arrived with only our clothes and the cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed. For two people it was very spacious and the additional bedroom and bathroom meant there was plenty of room when our family came to visit at christmas. The hosts Matt and Sarah were absolutely fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and when the cottage boiler broken down one winter at the coldest time (all fixed now!) we were invited into their home to stay until it was fixed. I can’t think of any negatives to living in Warsborough Cottage. We were very lucky to spend our first two years in the U.K. in such a lovely place. We were very sad to leave but we would highly recommend Warsborough Cottage and the hosts Matt and Sarah to anyone looking for that special home away from home close to Oxford.

We stayed at Matt's cottage for a little more than a year, as I had an appointment at the University of Oxford. Matt and Sarah are simply the best landlords we've ever had. They've been very attentive and accommodating for any and all requests. The cottage itself is absolutely charming. It is exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. The layout of the cottage was very spacious for my wife and me. The furnishings were more than sufficient and the extra room was very nice for when family or friends came to visit. It served us very well during the 1+ year of our stay. For those looking for a quieter lifestyle, it is the perfect option. Location-wise, after living in Oxford for 6+ years (we've lived in Botley, Cowley, Jericho, and Summertown), I can say that this was my favourite location. The bus stop is right in front of the property, which gave us quick access to Oxford's city centre (~25mins). In the area around the cottage, there are a few pubs and several nice paths to explore the countryside, for those more inclined to ramble on the weekends. The Kidlington town centre itself is very functional, with all the amenities one could need, and it is just a short walk away. The town centre also has a very nice farmer's market on the weekend that runs year-round. The property has a great outdoor setting, surrounded by lots of green. We even had the chance to work on our gardening skills in the backyard. Overall, we had an excellent experience all around and would highly recommend renting this property.
