The beautiful wooden 6’ dining table seats 8. Three bedrooms: BR 1: King Bed with Polysleep foam mattress and 5' wardrobe. BR 2: twin bed with Juno foam mattress and wardrobe. BR 3 (on the upper floor): Queen Bed with Douglas foam mattress and dresser. hotel quality linnen Two full washrooms, one with a shower, one with a bath tub. Washer/dryer en-suite. A den on the upper floor has a work nook with 5' desk, hardwired internet connection, and the window has black-out curtains. The sitting room also has a nook with a small computer desk and a hardwired internet connection. Heating is with electrical baseboards and the upstairs has a portable AC. Flat fee of $200/month will be added to the rent for heat, electricity and unlimited wifi and internet. The house was fully renovated in 2012 with new wiring, plumbing, earthquake proofing, insulation and hardwired and interconnected smoke alarms. The suite has a private entrance through a fenced side garden and (steep) outside stairs. The house is located in Strathcona, walking distance from Gastown and downtown. Bus routes stop at the corner of the street, or you can cycle the bike path a few blocks away I'm a poet and retired architect. Before I moved to Canada I taught architectural design at the VUB, Belgium. My partner is a filmmaker and puppeteer. We've a second house at the Sunshine Coast and divide our time between the city and the countryside. Our daughter lives in the downstairs suite.
