Charming new refurbished apartment in the city centre of Modena, steps from Piazza Grande. It is suitable for one person or a couple, visiting or on sabbatical. Quiet and full of light, is perfect as writer or researcher retreat. The apartment is in a great location, 5 minutes by walk to Piazza Grande and main attractions. The area features grocery shops and the historical covered food market with almost 100 food shops and an appreciated food court, celebrated in Master of None (Netflix). The apartment is also next to the University of Modena (Law, Humanistic and Economics Faculties), and close to Scientific Faculties (10 min. by bus). Quiet historic residential palace, built in Renaissence period by the noble Castelvetro family. Now it hosts only 3 other apartments occupied by owners in that stair. First floor, bright and wide rooms, a total of 80 sqm. The apartment has a great character, with marble floors, antique furniture, high ceiling. Modena is a lovely walkable city with a remarkable medieval city centre, lots of green and cycleways, well connected by car (A1, A14 highways) and by direct trains to Bologna (20 min.), Mantua, Parma, Verona, Milano. Modena romanesque Dome is a Unesco world heritage. The magnificent 12th-century cathedral at Modena, the work of two great artists (Lanfranco and Wiligelmus), is a supreme example of early Romanesque art. And also for traditonal balsamic vinegar, Pavarotti Opera theatre, Ferrari museum and factory.
