Our perfectly located, beautifully furnished and fully equipped townhouse in Provence is available for long or short-term rent. Summer rates are higher than during the academic year. Rates depend on period and length of stay. Please contact us for details. The house is on a quiet street, just steps from Avignon's center and famous ramparts. Bakeries, butcher shops, greengrocers, Asian markets, the central post office and train station, numerous banks, schools, the university and even the Avignon Opera are all within easy walking distance. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. We love the fact that our house faces south and is bathed on all three levels with warm, natural light. Ceilings are high, windows are tall. Central heating throughout; all three bedrooms and the office are equipped with "mini-split" units that provide heat or air conditioning.. Hi speed wi-fi is included. The three bedrooms all have powerful air conditioning. The fully-equipped, open kitchen has custom cabinets, a 5-burner range, dishwasher and American-style refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water dispenser. Most of the furniture and light fixtures are Art Deco style from the 1930's. Mattresses, linens and towels are all virtually new. Washer, dryer, additional toilet and small "summer kitchen" are in the basement, with direct access to the courtyard. Please let us know if you'd like to see more photos.
