Self-contained Backyard Studio

Description

This studio is in our back garden, surrounded by trees, vines and lawn space. It overlooks its own verandah/decking with outdoor furniture and the garden beyond. The garden is a shared space with the main house where we live. The studio is comfortably furnished with a double bed, tv, desk, wardrobe etc. It is also very light, with overhead windows catching the northern sun, and double doors onto the private deck and shared garden. A floor to ceiling window looks out onto another aspect of the garden. There is a reverse-cycle air-conditioner to provide heating in winter and cooling in summer. There is also a ceiling fan. The small kitchen is equipped with a single induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, electric slow-cooker, rice-cooker and electric kettle. The cupboards are filled with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. The studio also has its own shower, toilet and vanity unit. A washing machine is located in an area outside the main house for your exclusive use. Access to the studio is via a path at the side of the main house. The garden is a shared space but the studio is entirely private, and has its own decking with table and chairs. This space is screened from view from the main house. The property is really well located to public transport ...... just a very short walk to trams, trains and buses which will get you to Melbourne University, Latrobe University, Australian Catholic University, RMIT etc. We are also very close to the Merri Creek bicycle trail. There are bicycles here for tenants’ use. Northcote itself is a vibrant, happening suburb with a fantastic music scene in High Street, and many great restaurants and cafes. We are a short walk away from High Street but our street is quiet and leafy.
