Cambridge: Beautiful 2 Bedroom apartment -- steps to Harvard with office

My family and I had a wonderful experience renting Anne's apartment for spring semester 2025. We highly recommend it to anyone looking in the Cambridge/Boston area.

The location is incredible. The apartment is located on a quiet safe street but it's just a stone's throw from public transport (bus, the T), shops, and top notch cafés and restaurants. There are playgrounds and parks nearby, great for children of all ages.

The apartment is beautiful. It's bright, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. Bedrooms provide ample space, the office/guest room worked great as a room for our baby.

Anne and Jim are just lovely hosts, very nice, responsive, and always really helpful. We loved staying here and will really miss it! Ciara and Tony

My family had a wonderful experience renting this apartment and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking in Cambridge. The location is unbeatable - the street is quiet at night while also being just a few minutes' walk from shops, restaurants, and the T. The listing fit our family (with two young children) perfectly. Our hosts were responsive, helpful, and flexible when needed. We loved being close to our neighborhood public school, parks, and museums. The apartment is fully stocked and had everything we needed during our stay. We had an incredible time in Cambridge and can't say enough good things about our hosts and the apartment!

We stayed stayed at Anne's apartment for six months and had the most amazing time. Anne and Jim are great hosts, super nice and with always swift replies to our questions. The apartment is spacious and has beautiful light, wooden floors, useful furniture and lots of charm. We felt very much at home. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet and close to everything you need. Our kids (6 and 9 yo.) went to the nearby Graham & Parks school and liked it very much. Harvard is in close walking or cycling distance. I absolutely recommend staying here, we were sad to leave.

I spent the fall 2021 in Anne's beautiful apartment in Cambridge with my family. The apartment is spacious, clean, and perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood but close to public transportation. I worked at Harvard and had a 15 min walk to my office in mid-campus. Our daughters (4 & 7 years old) also enjoyed the stay very much. There are lots of nice playgrounds nearby. Our older daughter went to school at Graham & Parks just two blocks away from the apartment and we were very happy with the school and the teachers.

Anne was very helpful throughout the visit. Our travel plans changed multiple times due to Covid and it was easy to sort everything out with Anne. We loved our time in Cambridge and hope to visit again sometime.

We loved staying at Anne and Jim`s House. We were greeted by these lovely people when we arrived. The apartment was clean and Anne showed us all we needed to know. The apartment The apartment is on the top floor. It is sunny, and you have trees surrounding the house. You can see the Prudential Tower from the living room. Kitchen is well equipped. You should have all you need. The master bedroom is really spacious. Our daughter used the bedroom facing the back yard. I bit darker, but nice. We used the third room as office and guest room. Aircondition in the summer, which is a must. Area Nearest t-line is Red line, Porter Square. The T takes you to MIT in 10 min, and downtown Boston in 15 min. 10 min walk from the house to Porter sq. Groceries you get from Star Market at Porter sq. Nice restaurants in Mass. Ave. You should also try Bagelsaurus. 6 min walk down to Harvard Law school, and 45 min walk down to MIT campus and MIT Recreational center. The house is placed in probably one of the better and safest areas in Cambridge/Boston. Quite streets and beautiful trees. Raymond Park playground 5 min from the house. Great if you have kids. The hosts Anne and Jim are lovely people. If you have any questions, they will try to answer and help you out. If there were any issues, Anne took care of it straight away. Overall A great place for us, a Norwegian family with a toddler. We wanted space, and we got it. At the same time, you are really close to everything, Harvard and MIT, but also downtown Boston. We (My wife and our 2 year old toddler) had a great stay at Anne's apartment. We stayed at the apartment for almost 3 months and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spacious, full of light, charming, well decorated and furnished. The floor plan is open with a nice kitchen with all the appliances you could need. The location of the apartment is perfect. It is situated in a quest beautiful area of Cambridge with beautiful wooden homes and old trees along the quite streets. Beautiful in both winter and spring time. It is within alking distance (5-7 min) to Porter sq. where the T (Red) will take you to Boston. I commuted to MGH (very easy). At Porter sq you also find a large super market (Star Market) + a bunch of other shops. At Mass Ave you find all the restaurants you'll need. Furthermore Anne was an excellent host and answered all our questions swiftly. I'll recommend the apartment to both singles and families.

The apartment is easily accessible to public transportation and is as light and sunny as the pictures show. It is a wonderful well equipped space that was comfortable for my husband, myself and our teenage daughter. Anne and her husband were very helpful landlords. We would definitely come back if the opportunity arises.

We (parents and 19 year old son) spent 4 month in fall 2016 in the apartment. It is spacious, located in a quite, but very conveniently located neighborhood with the red T line and shops as well as the Harvard main campus in walking distance. We particularly enjoyed that it is very bright, with sunlight beaming into the main living space. The one bedroom facing the garden is not as bright as the other two rooms, but our son liked it there - as it is more separate from the other rooms ;-) Everything (linen, electricity, wifi, heating) was included in the rent, the kitchen is fully equipped. Wifi is not the fastest, but worked well for us. Landlady and Landlord were very helpful, everything worked out smoothly.
