Description

The house has many period details, including built-in cabinets and hutch in the living room, and crown molding throughout. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and a third bedroom on the second floor. We currently use one of the downstairs bedrooms as an office and guest room. Most rooms in the house have been freshly painted. The kitchen is completely functional and well-stocked, but outdated. The back yard is one of our favorite places to spend time. There are fruit trees, a vegetable bed, a grill, a hammock and a picnic area. Included with the rent are wi-fi, waste removal, water, electricity, and regular visits from the gardener. Cleaning service is negotiable. We have easy access to bus lines, BART, and the freeway. For long-term sabbatical rentals: The house is two blocks from the highly-rated Marin Elementary and three blocks from Terrace Park. The house is 2 miles from the UC Berkeley campus in the safe and charming community of Albany. In addition, we are only 2 blocks from Solano Ave. (a charming shopping district) and walking distance from Monterey Market (a well-regarded produce market and grocery).
