Our cozy 1928 bungalow sits on a large, secluded lot with views of downtown (through trees). Living room is bright with two walls of windows and a fireplace; the small but very handy kitchen adjoins a dining room with French doors to the big front deck; two small bedrooms and bath complete the living space; they face the expansive backyard. Basement with laundry facilities is available for your use; upstairs master suite has been turned into personal storage, and is not (that's the second story visible in photograph). Very private and quiet; large yard with multiple fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, and mostly-native landscaping. Close to restaurants and shops and a half block from the bus stop. A very easy place to retreat to, if peace is required, and otherwise, handy to all the delights of Portland (a great small city despite what you may have heard!) and the exceptional outdoor options provided by Oregon's coast, volcanic peaks, Columbia Gorge, and desert.

Comments: The house faces south--important given the Pacific Northwest's wet winters--with expansive green view and a generous yard, both front and back, that shades the house (important in the PNW's increasingly hot summers).
