It is now three or four months since my time in Florence. It feels like a lovely dream. I would recommend this apartment wholeheartedly. If, for balance, I wanted to make some criticisms, I would have to say the kitchen and bathroom are exactly as they appear in the profile: clean and functional with everything one needs, perhaps a little dated. Of course the location is perfect; but the apartment itself is also lovely, with its wooden staircase, beautiful pictures, books, excellent internet access, etc. It was very quiet, even on New Year's Eve. The owners would like their apartment to be looked after and treated respectfully and properly by those who stay there. Next time I am in Florence I would like to stay there again. Thank you.

We have just returned home from a month’s stay in the Uffizi Apartment. The apartment was everything promised and was ideal for us, a couple interested in central, historic Florence. And to our delight, the owners had furnished it with art work and numerous art books and museum guides in English.

The location would be hard to match. It is indeed steps from the Uffizi Museum. The Palazzo Vecchio and the Ponte Vecchio are each a 3 minute walk away.

Despite the central location, the apartment is very quiet. The building is on a small street behind the museum and the windows of the apartment open onto an lightwell rather than the street.

A wonderfully authentic Florentine experience in this enchanting apartment. I spent 3 months over the winter in this cosy, comfortable apartment and was able to work remotely as internet connectivity was superb. It felt like a home away from home with delightful artwork, family treasures and lots of interesting books.

It was a great pleasure to meet Magda who made everything easy, she is an absolute gem and makes you feel like family.

The location is second to none and I loved being able to pop out to see if the queues were quiet for the Uffizi- being able to visit at less busy times was a great privilege.

The building is safe and secure, and the apartment is quiet and peaceful.

For anyone looking to enjoy time in Italy, this flat in Florence is perfect. The location is incredible. It is next to the Uffizi Gallery and one block from the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge. It is in an ideal location to walk anywhere in Florence. You are next to amazing restaurants, shopping, and markets. Musicians from singers to cellists and artists from painters and pantomimes are in the plazas surrounding the flat. Magda is wonderful. She was there to greet us when we arrived with extensive materials on Florence and Tuscany. You can reach her at any time with any questions or issues and she responds immediately. You can take the train to visit other cities, the bus to go the outlets, or rent a car to go to the vineyards. Amazing!

Magda's apartment is in a great location. It's an easy walk to just about everything. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioning works. The kitchen is tiny but servicable. The apartment is fairly quiet. You hear TV sounds and a few loud conversations from a neighboring apartment, but never too late into the night.

Magda and her son were a pleasure to work with. Magda is a great and speedy communicator. We were careful to only run the AC when in the apartment, and the total for the utility bills was less than $100.

Pro tip: The hotel next door has an awesome rooftop bar. They make great negronis.

You are one short block from the old bridge. There's a great grocery store on the other side of the bridge.

Such an enjoyable visit. Unmatched location, Worth booking years indavance. So patient.

Magda is a very speciat woman. I would be honored to have her as a guest in my home.

If you are looking for a 1 bedroom place to stay in the center of Firenze, this is your place! A lovely, comfortable 2 level apartment only steps from Uffizi and a 2 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio and the heart of central Firenze. I stayed there while I was awaiting my permanent apartment (I needed a 2 bedroom for permanent residence) to be available and was so glad that I did. With a wonderful landlord, Magda, and the nicest of assistants, Carlo, they made my entrance into living in Italy warm and welcoming! If you want to be in the heart of everything the Ponte Vecchio/Uffizi area has to offer, this is your place to stay!

My husband and I just completed a two-week stay at Rossella’s Uffizi apartment, and it was a wonderful experience. The location was perfect for us, an easy 15-20 minute walk from the train station, and close to all of the places we wanted to see on our first trip to Florence. The apartment itself is beautiful and functional, with plenty of room for the two us. Rossella was a conscientious and generous hostess, providing all the information we needed before and during our stay. We can definitely recommend the apartment, and we hope to come back soon!

I have just spent two and a half months in this wonderful flat. The location is perfect and the flat is charming and comfortable. More importantly, the owner is extremely helpful, accommodating and fair. There are no surprises, which is a huge bonus. I highly recommend the Uffizzi flat and I will book it again next year.

This is a great, very central place to stay in Florence. You can't be closer to just waking up in the morning and popping into the Ufizzi Gallery line-up! It was so convenient staying here for seeing all the sights of Florence. Though the apartment is not the sunniest, it is spacious for a central location and offers you a full bathroom (and bathtub) as well as an elevator in the building (great for those big suitcases!) Rosella was very kind to me, even offering me a free night at the end of my stay when I made a small error with reading my return ticket date. Mille grazie, Rosella!

Rosella's flat could not be in a better location...it is literally steps away from the Uffizzi and the Piazza de la Signoria, and just a few minutes' walk to the Ponte Vecchio. We appreciated the elevator, and the comfortable bed and nice linens. The kitchen was small but provided the basics. The bathroom and bedroom are up a fairly narrow staircase from the living/dining room. Both were roomy and pleasant, with ample closet space. Rosella was very responsive to emails as we were setting up our rental, and was right on time for checking in and checking out.

This lovingly furnished and very reasonably priced apartment is right next to the Uffizi, steps from the Arno, and minutes away from anything else you might want to see, whether you’re in Florence for pleasure or research or both. The layout is clever—it’s a one bedroom on two levels and the foldout guest bed in the living room is excellent. The internet is very reliable. The small kitchen is well equipped with two electric burners, a microwave and a small fridge. Two Conad supermarkets are quite nearby, and there are great little restaurants around the corner. Rosella herself is warm, stylish, and helpful, and has thought about everything in the apartment, from décor (as she says, no Ikea!) to local information and lore. The posted photographs of the apartment are very thorough, and show the architectural charm of the place. You’ll notice that the apartment does not have views or direct sunshine, but it does feel airy and there are ample windows overlooking an interior courtyard. As a consequence it’s quiet and also stays cool in the heat. (I was there into late May when the temperature was rising and the crowds increasing). If you’re out in galleries, churches, and libraries during the day it’s a good retreat at night. This was my home base in Florence for two months and I was very happy in this apartment.

This apartment is unique ... a two-storey space (bedroom and ensuite upstairs and sitting room and kitchen downstairs. Perfect for a couple. ... here you will want to be quiet and ponder Florence and the beautiful bridges spanning the Arno just steps away. We walked across the Ponti Vecchia most days; shopped in the mercato market just seconds from the other side of the famous bridge; an absolute relief sometimes to leave the crowds and go home and make a cup of tea or coffee and cook a simple meal) - the walls filled with paintings, photos and sketches, many of the Madonna - lending a comfortable, home-like, feminine air - enhanced by the wooden beam ceiling, cotto and parquet flooring. Books about Italian art and architecture, books about the Uffizi, we sat on the couch at night planning our days; the best thing about this apartment was that I felt I was in Florence. The soft lighting at night made us want to stay in, but so many nights we ventured out .. we loved our stay here; convenient and comfortable and helped to make our memory of Florence special - to read my Blog review, see Spring in Europe at www.eyeontheground.com

“Uffizi Apartment” was the perfect place for me to stay for a two-week dissertation research trip in late June 2014. I would recommend it, and Rossella as its owner-manager, unequivocally. The apartment is tastefully and elegantly decorated, very comfortable, and quiet and peaceful. Upon entering the apartment, after taking either the elevator or walking up three flights of stairs, there is a small vestibule with a coat hooks and a utility closet with any tools, extra trash bags, etc. that you may need during your stay. The kitchen is across from the front door, and has a microwave, two-burner electric stove, a small refrigerator, Italian espresso maker, and a sink with a drying rack above. While it would be difficult to make elaborate meals in this kitchen, I happily made risotto, pasta, veal chops, salads, and other foods that could be cooked on a stove. The living room has a traditional wooden Florentine ceiling, and a large window facing out towards a small courtyard. Rossella has very sensibly put screens on all the windows in the apartment, so there is no threat of mosquitoes or other bugs coming inside. Having lived in numerous Florentine properties over the years, I can attest that this is a Godsend! There is a new, flatscreen television mounted to the wall; it has numerous Italian channels and a DVD player underneath it. Rossella has very thoughtfully purchased various American, British, and Italian films, and I enjoyed watching “Roman Holiday,” “Ocean’s 12,” and “My Cousin Vinny.” Next to the television is a credenza with dishes and tablecloths and a dining room table that seats six; I used the table for both eating and as a desk, for which it was more than adequate. Behind the table, underneath the stairs leading up to the bedroom, is a very soft sleeper sofa, and a bookshelf with numerous guidebooks, art history tomes, novels, and other books. Upstairs – the apartment is like an American-style loft apartment with stairs leading up to an open upstairs room – is a charming and romantic bedroom. There is a very comfortable king bed with lovely foam pillows (Italian-style “letto matrimoniale,” with two twin beds pushed up next to each other), two nightstands, a small bureau, two large closets, and most importantly, an air-conditioning unit next to the window. The A/C was easy to use, with a remote-control switch, and very much appreciated during Florence’s typically hot summers. Completing the bedroom is a whole wall decorated with framed art copies of famous Marian images. As an Italian Renaissance art historian, I adored going to sleep with all these beautiful pictures. The bathroom is quite large, with a tub with shower, toilet, bidet, and sink. The washer is also here. It is a typical Italian washer – quite small and full of strange, for an American, nobs and settings. Rossella has very helpfully included easy-to-use English instructions with the washer. I must admit that I had some problems using it; I followed the instructions exactly, but the cycle ran for almost 6 hours (!) and then did not drain out the water. My black pants and underwear also came out with rust stains on them. This was the only bad experience I had in the apartment, and Rossella was very apologetic, professional, and helpful about it; when I checked out, she told me she would immediately inspect it and possibly call a repairman, and she additionally comped my water utility fee. I am sure the washer will be working just fine for any future guests as Rossella is extremely conscientious about everything in the apartment. I loved the two weeks I spent in “Uffizi Apartment,” and hope I will be able to return soon. The apartment was the perfect place for me to work and live, and when my husband visited me at the end of my stay, a very romantic spot for us to spend our time in Florence. Rossella is everything you would hope for in a home rental owner-manager; so helpful, caring, friendly, and thoughtful. She truly cares about making sure her guests have the best experience, and it certainly shows in all the special touches she has put in the apartment: from the coffee and olive oil ready for you in the kitchen when you arrive to the collection of maps and guidebooks in the living room to the restaurant coupons she specially arranges for her guests. Needless to say, she is the epitome of Tuscan hospitality, grace, and charm.

I can totally recommend this cosy flat very near to the Uffizi Gallery. The main square, with many restaurants, was a few minutes walk away. Despite being so central, the flat was very quiet and we slept well. I shared with my cousin, so I slept on the very comfortable put-u-up sofa, and she had the double bedroom. A wonderful holiday.
