1 Bed Flat - Victorian House -Highgate-Hampstead Heath-Dartmouth Park-NW5

The flat is situated in the north of London in Camden, between Dartmouth park and Hampstead Heath. The public transport to all parts of the city is great due to the quick access to multiple bus lines and the Northern tube line. There are multiple quick shopping opportunities and pubs nearby (try the Oak&Pastor!). The apartment has a separate entrance in the bottom of an older house. Everything is clean and well maintained, including the stove, shower and washer dryer. The apartment has everything one (or two) could need and is really well situated. The building is not the most modern, but there has never been an issue with water, heat, etc. The landlady has been a lovely and very responsive host. Overall, I have had a great 3 months here!

What a lovely place to stay, for an affordable price!

This is a great find. Furnishings etc. are on the older, more traditional side, hence the 4 stars for "Cleanliness and Readiness" - this isn't a newly renovated flat with fancy fixtures. But it does have all one needs, and is of a comfortable size for 1 or even more (my 21 year old son has been with me for an extended stay, he says the couch-bed is a dream to sleep on!). The neighborhood is a dream: friendly people and lovely pubs/restaurants near by. Great parks, too, and all the shops you need. Very convenient to the British library and central london but not in the thick of it, with a relaxed feel. Try the breakfast bap at "Crick's Corner" and Brendan the Navigator pub for Irish music!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this flat during June-August this year. Conveniently located on a quiet residential street in the Highgate/Dartmouth Park area. Minutes to Hampstead Heath -- where I enjoyed running and long walks. Very close to shops and groceries, as well as to coffee (for those of us who need it to start our day!) Short walk to two different stops on the Northern Line, and thus good access to central London, archives, libraries, museums etc. The flat is older, but comfortably furnished with plenty of light, considering it is a ground floor/basement flat. The landlady is a lovely person who is attentive to her tenant's needs, and full of good information about the local area. Highly recommended!!!

Ideal flat for one person or couple: very cozy, huge bay window (great space for working from home), large, and fairly priced. All you have to do is show up with your luggage, as everything else, from extra guest bedding to dish detergent and toilet paper, was already provided. Dartmouth Park is one of the nicest neighborhoods I've come across in London, great pubs/restaurants on every corner, close to Northern line yet much greener than any other area with such conveniences--not to mention Hampstead Heath, the city's most natural-feeling park, just down the street. Being new to the city, I greatly enjoyed having TT's friendly presence upstairs--always interesting conversations, and she was extremely responsive to any requests.

Staying at this appartment for six months was a wonderful experience. The owner was very encouraging and helped me settle quickly. Kindly collecting me on arrival and taking me to various sites around the local area. It was very helpful, as I was taking on a professional teaching experience in inner London and was not familiar with this region of London. The rooms were tastefully decorated and had everything that I needed for my stay.

I was very happy with this flat and the owners of the house. I enjoyed living in a Victorian house with bay windows, in a nice neighborhood, and I enjoyed my morning walks to the next tube station. In the evening, when I was tired, I took a bus from the station (and only had to walk a few meters). The location had been my priority when I looked for housing, but then I found it very comfortable to have a small bedroom in addition to the living room (where I could change from the desk to the table for my meals and then relax on the couch). I also liked to have my own (well-equipped) kitchen and bathroom. Everything worked perfectly, I did not miss anything. Last not least: The landlady is charming and very helpful. Highly recommended flat!

The flat is amazing in itself but is made even better thanks to TT and her husband. My husband and I stayed at the flat for a year and a half and never lacked for anything (it comes fully stocked + has great wifi). The flat comes with everything you would need and in case you need anything else, TT was always there to help. The location is great as the place is a 10 min walk from the Heath, the Tube and a wide array of supermarkets. We loved the peace and quiet and will fondly remember this as our home in London. TT is a kind friend and a considerate landlord and will make you never want to leave. 10/10 recommend!

Abby and David's flat is perfect for a couple. We lived there for three months it was wonderful. Junction Road is about 10 min walking where is possible to find many supermarkets, like M&S, Iceland, and coffees....and the Archway tube Station. This is a wonderful flat, conveniently located with easy access to buses and the tube, very well furnished and appointed, and with the most helpful and accommodating landlords. One could hardly do better and I recommend it most highly.

This flat and the landlords were everything I could have hoped for and more. Everything I needed was in the flat from cooking and eating utensils to cleaning supplies to extra bedding for the sofa-bed; the few times there were hiccups the landlords were very prompt, attentive, and effective (in addition to being very interesting people). A friend visiting from Cambridge was very jealous. Despite two heavy spring snows the flat was consistently cozy and warm. The location is near two convenient bus stops, two Tube stations on the Northern Line, and was ideal for commuting to Bloomsbury, all the Central London sights when my husband visited for a week, and Cambridge via King's Cross. In addition to Hampstead Heath of course, there is a range of nice pubs, cafes, and grocers nearby.

This apartment is a gem in London. I spent four months here, and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. The apartment is in a stunning historic house, is very secure, and comfortable. Everything one might need to be comfortable (towels, pots, etc) is already there. While London accommodation tends to be small, this apartment is both spacious and good value, too. In terms of location, it's a good balance of an easy commute to the city on the Northern line (with two routes through the city) and proximity to parks. I'm actually not sure how I'm going to live without my regular outings to Hampstead Heath (swimming ponds, farmer's market and general beauty)! Finally, the landlords are delightful, kind, and interesting. This apartment is a winner.

This is a lovely place to stay. The flat is well maintained and comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, close to beautiful parks and within easy distance (by tube and bus) of central London. The landlords are attentive, friendly and kind.

I stayed here for 3 months and would stay here again. Great location in quiet residential neighborhood with many public transport options and easy walking distance to shops, parks, etc. Flat is warm, light, and comfortable.

I have had a very good experience with renting the place. The interaction with the landlords has been excellent. The location is within an easy reach either by bus or by tube -- it is within a short walk to a major underground station. Reaching the core of the city (its universities, cultural institutions and entertainment places) is not a problem.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for almost a month. Abby and her husband are great landlords, very welcoming and attentive. The area is quiet, beautiful, safe, with good public transport to central London, and the apartment spacious, very clean and well maintained. We were lucky to find this place available and highly recommend it.

I spent a whole year (2014/15) in this lovely flat and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is in a beautiful residential area in north London and is very conveniently located. It is not only spacious but also clean and well maintained, a testimony to the loving care of the thoughtful, responsible landlords. I certainly hope to have another chance to live in this flat.

A very comfortable, well-equipped, and surprisingly light basement flat in an excellent location - close to Hampstead Heath, Highgate village, and with good bus and tube connections to central London. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our summer there.

Beatiful apartment located in a quiet and pleasant area. It is perfectly linked to the main transport network; you can reach central London in 20 minutes. Main shops and supermarkets are close as well. And the parks nearby...absolutely indescriptible. You can calm down a stressful day over there. If you are the ones that feel cold, don't worry, it is warm inside in winter. We really enjoyed our stay there. If we have to go back to London, we hope it is free.

I enjoyed my 14–week stay at this one-bedroom apartment in London NW5. The neighborhood is pleasant, with many parks in walking distance and easy shopping destinations. Tube access (Archway and Tufnell Park) is within a few blocks and there are four major bus lines close by, two of them nearly at the door. The apartment is clean and comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, there are plenty of bookshelves and a trundle day bed for visitors, and the wifi is robust. Most importantly, the owners of this attractive late–Victorian row house are good landlords, welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. LEB
