My home is a sunny, comfortable 1970s two-story townhouse in Devonport, one of Auckland’s most picturesque historic seaside communities. It is a lived-in, character-filled home rather than a sleek modern rental, with books, art and artifacts. Much of the personal clutter shown in the photographs will be removed before renting, leaving plenty space for you to settle in and make it your home. The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two separate office/work spaces. The upstairs living area is particularly sunny, with large windows and doors opening onto balcony. There is master bedroom with en-suite and office space. Downstairs, the dining and living areas open onto a private, sunny deck and garden. There is single bedroom, mobility accessible bathroom and additional office space. The kitchen and laundry are fully equipped, and heat pumps in both living areas. The garden is private and lush, with plenty of bird life, around the back fruit trees and a small veggie patch (if you wish to grow your own). The house is in a quiet, safe and friendly cul-de-sac, with beautiful Narrow Neck Beach just a five-minute walk. A bus stop at the end of the street connects in both directions, including to Devonport village and the ferry terminal. Devonport has a lively village community with supermarket, cafés, restaurants, bakeries, bookshops, galleries, a cinema and library, as well as sailing, golf, tennis courts, yoga, a gym, three beautiful beaches and plenty of coastal walking and other recreational activities. The regular ferry service from Devonport takes only 15 minutes to Auckland CBD, making an easy commute to the University of Auckland and the central city. Ideally I am looking for 6mth or longer stay tenants. A local property manager will be available while I’m overseas, and use of my car may also be negotiable.
