The property is unique in Canada at the end of a small island overlooking Lake Ontario at the mouth of the St Lawrence river. It's like being on the ocean, there is no land on the horizon and the sunsets are incredible. The water can be clam as glass or wavy like the sea. Fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing is excellent and totally private. The house was built in 1961 for the original lighthouse keeper and remained in the lighthouse keepers’ family until my mom bought it in 1990 and turned the gardens into the haven for birds, trees and butterflies that they are today. This is now our family holiday house. The island has a lovely small community of professionals, farmers and families. There are no shops or public spaces but all the amenities are available on the next island that is accessible by short ferry (10 min trip). The university is two easy ferries away, and is an hour trip. Interested parties can request more detailed information on any specific points of interest.

Comments: It is at the end of the island beside the lighthouse with 8 acres of private waterfront in a nature oasis, it's the original light keeper's cottage and it's a very special, unusual Canadian cottage property.
Comments: The oak tree is the gathering spot for monarch butterflies on their annual migration to Mexico, swimming is amazing there are no weeds and the bottom is all limestone, the house is original and is on septic and gas
