I'm an academic at Barnard College; I will be traveling for part of this summer and would like to sublet my apartment to a responsible tenant while I'm away. The apartment is a spacious, sunny, fully furnished 1-BR with a king bed and dresser, a large living room with couch (folds out into a futon), dining table, and workspace (including external monitor and printer), a well-equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and lots of closet space; the building has laundry in the basement. The apartment is in a quiet, medium-sized building in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens/Flatbush neighborhood, just two blocks from beautiful Prospect Park—Brooklyn’s backyard!—and the Parade Ground recreational facilities, including tennis courts and baseball and soccer fields. It’s also a short walk or bike ride to the Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and countless bars, restaurants, and shops in central Brooklyn (happy to give tips on my favorite spots in the neighborhood and beyond). The express B/Q trains are across the street, so it’s an easy and quick trip into other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan, and just half an hour to the beach.
