Historic Uptown NOLA 4BR/4BA Near Touro and Audubon Park

Our home is bright and spacious, with 12.5' ceilings, and lots of windows. The house is a shotgun converted to a single; there are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and an en suite bathroom, the other with a futon that opens up to a full-size bed. There is a smart tv in the living room with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and another in the downstairs master bedroom. From the living room you walk through the dining room to the fully equipped kitchen and large, sun-filled sitting area with two futons that can be opened to full-size beds if needed. There is a full bath off of the kitchen and a washer and dryer. The kitchen/sitting room opens onto a brick patio with a table and four chairs. Most floors downstairs are original hardwood. The upstairs features two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and an en suite bath, the other with a low loft bed (twin) and an adjacent bathroom with shower. There is a large sitting/working space that opens onto a balcony. The second floor has many windows, lots of light and has hardwood floors throughout. We live on a quiet street two blocks from Magazine Street, the vibrant heart of Uptown New Orleans filled with shops and restaurants. The house is located within easy walking distance of several coffee shops, two micro-breweries, sno-ball stands, bakeries, and the famous music venue Tipitina's. There are also two supermarkets nearby. The Magazine Street bus provides convenient service to downtown New Orleans and beautiful Audubon Park, and it's a short walk to the St. Charles Ave. streetcar. We're within easy biking distance (15-20 minutes) from three Universities (Tulane, Loyola, and Xavier), Audubon Park (10-15 minutes), and the French Quarter (20 minutes). We have a few guest bikes at your disposal. Our house comes with our friendly middle-aged cat. She's indoor-outdoor and needs only some food and attention. We would ideally like someone to be here for at least a month, but are open to two- or three-week stays as well.
